One of my dead favorites (especially all of side 1), but it's a hard pick… Sorry swellers .. trying to find the full album w/o ads between slip knot & franklins tower, etc. .. can't be hav'n dat..
Hell yeah Cdog! Love that album, quite possibly my favourite studio. Peajay! I've been lurking a bit, been busy at work and idk man less energy to post, but I'm here. How you crackers doing?
Doing alright, thx for asking. Been busy with work and things as well .. enjoying hot beverages during this cold spell ... trying not to get too wired on 'feine.. hard to resist a good cup 'of joe though..
You know. Strikes and gutters. Hey man less energy is better than bad energy. Just take er easy Dude and dont forget your friends.
That is one great album; I have been listening to that since 1970 or so. Always loud. Thinking of buying myself a ES 335, same guitar Alvin Lee played. Something to do during long winter nights!!
There was a lot going on then: continuation of civil rights movement, women's lib, "sexual revolution", Vietnam and the peace movement, the Nixon era, etc. A redefining of long-held traditional roles and values.
Glad to hear amigo. Funny you should say that. I'm coming off a gnarly stomach virus that has allowed me to reevaluate my consumption habits including that of caffeine, which during the fedex days was getting out of control. 2 cups black one sugar in the am and one in the afternoon if I have the baby and I need it.
Copy that Duder, same here. And never, love you fkn guys, and you and I will be trading waves one day.
Yes .. do it! So would you go Gibson (which would set you back $2-3k) or Epiphone? I bought my daughter a used Epiphone Dot (baby blue) when she was a teenager. It plays decent with a little setup work. I myself like Fender S and T styles, but enjoy noodling around on most guitars. And be sure to get decent amp ..
I wold go Gibson--thy have a new color called blueberry blue. And yes....3900 bucks. But it would be worth it. Wake up the neighborhood!! hahahaha!!
Listened to all the Gerry and Dead stuff that has been posted. 4 tracks. almost an hour. and I'm Mellow. @capecodcdog couldn't find a full Blues for Allah either except for a live version. But couldn't pass this up. Listening to it right meow. Saint Stephen with a rose In and out of the garden he goes Country garden in the wind and the rain Wherever he goes the people all complain Stephen prospered in his time Well, he may and he may decline Did it matter, does it now? Stephen would answer if he only knew how Wishing well with a golden bell Bucket hangin' clear to Hell Hell halfway twixt now and then Stephen fill it up and lower down and lower down again Lady finger, dipped in moonlight Writing, "What for?", across the morning sky Sunlight splatters, dawn with answer Darkness shrugs and bids the day goodbye Speeding arrow, sharp and narrow What a lot of fleeting matters you have spurned Several seasons with their treasons Wrap the babe in scarlet colors, call it your own Did he…
.. Did he doubt or did he try? Answers aplenty in the bye and bye Talk about your plenty and talk about your ills One man gathers what another man spills Saint Stephen will remain All he lost he shall regain Seashore washed by the suds and foam Been here so long, he's got to callin' it home.. Jives w/the ancient writ: As Stephen was being stoned to death, he called out, “Lord Jesus, please welcome me!” He knelt down and shouted, “Lord, don’t blame them for what they have done.” Then he died.
last listen of the day. got a poop load of office work done today. thanks for the tune suggestions. looking like some swell approaching. hope yous get yours!
On many levels, it's a good way to spend time. I've been doing the same on my 5-string. Improving or further developing music skills is much more productive and satisfying than watching TV, playing video games,...or spending/wasting time on the computer (woops).
