What claim am I not backing up? NSF funded research into technologies such as the Internet, MRI, and nanotechnology to name but a few, have led to many practical (and profitable) applications that are widely used in private industry today. What part of this are you not understanding???
Typical Barry reply. You surf this morning bub? Surf snuck in here, good fun at the Wall at dead low.
Typically non-partisan, you mean? Something you are not capable of? Surf snuck in?? I knew it was coming... I went out at 10AM. Brief session as I had work to do.
Those S-SW wind swells don't always work their way around the cape, always a dice roll. Glad you surfed.
Actually was yard work, having to do with "proper water drainage". We had downpours over ice/snow jesterday. We have drainage pipes that needed clearing to insure proper drainage. Kinda like making sure your leash knots are properly tied and sand recon appropriately done. But I got out briefly any who.
Jay, I always do my own house work. I have ever since I got married. Carpentry, painting, simple plumbing, some electrics, etc.--do it myself. Better than sitting around now. In fact, I sometimes do my neighbors yard work when they are too busy working, etc. After I go surfing or cycling, of course. Couple of hours of work a day keeps the doctor away..
Your claim that govt deliberately, as modus operandi, innovates so that private sector will then make profits. This claim if yours is utter CRAP. This is like talking to a post. The govt doesn’t do what you claim it does & it never has. You keep ‘citing examples’ to support your claim. Yet the govt doesn’t do what you claim, sigourney. It’s well established that you are ignorant in many ways, The Kid owned your tail in the treade in many ways. You’re the classic deflectionist combined with doesn’t know what its bleating about combo platter sheeple. You’re just wrong. Again & again & again.
No roof stuff on our 2-story house for this old man...too much like Chevy Chase on Christmas Vacation. Getting under sink cabinets is almost to that point as well. Can't see what I'm doing, and wearing bifocals doesn't help. Also, not as limber as I used to be. Gotta go. Sale on Depends at Walgreens!
Oh yeah....you are right. Roofing sucks, and THAT will be given to young whipper snappers. But the plumbing, I am still flexible enough to change faucets etc; I am glad however, that it does not need to be done often. I think it is because I still go to the gym 3X a week, lift light weights many reps, etc. And my eyesight has dropped off a lot as well, especially last 2 years. That does suck. All in all, if I think I can do it, I try it first. If I fail, then I dial 1-800 dummy needs help. lol
