Went out this a.m at pafb . got there before sunrise and waited to let it get more organized . went in around 8 ..saw a guy paddling a short board with no success . I paddled out to the spot between the parking lots and found several sections and some fun connecting rides on the walden 9'2 for about an hour then it just dropped off. watched for another 1/2 hour a few guys on short boards paddle around with no success so I left. I am always happy to get whatever there is.

20190310_191031.jpg 20190310_190105.jpg Fun weekend: snowboarded saturday and surfed today. The warm and sunshine made the snow super soft. The big boulder crew built a half pipe Friday. Shredded it Saturday while the half pipe was pristine and soft, rather than the typical icy pipe. To top things off the waves were fun today, better than I expected. I think cold water surfing helps ice snowboarding wrecks.

I paddled out twice yesterday, once at first light on the new Fish, waves were weak and nothing special, got out after 90 minutes of meh. Then I paddled back out around 5pm and surfed till it was almost dark at 7pm. Surf came up some and offered a better ride at a different spot than the two spots I tried earlier. I rode both the LB and the new Fish. Better rides were on the LB. The fish needed a little more power in the wave but I did have a few fun rides on her.

Sunday evening Delmarva. Sun came out mid afternoon, wsw wind, low tide, warm air temps and lots of daylight. Plus the swell a bit bigger than forecast. Really fun sesh on the Mark Richards bump wing swallow used Craigslist score from last year.

Never really cleaned up in Mo Co. Wind stayed north all day... and it was looking like a mess.

Did anyone attempt a go-out 'round here?

It looked wonky at my spot down here yesterday. I was going to head out this morning but some crap came up at work so I'll have to wait until the next build up. It looked good down here at first lighttoday.

Some shots of my son and his friends yesterday afternoon. Solid group of young rippers coming up in Ocean City.

Got out this afternoon for a few hours and it was good to get the reps and catch a bunch of waves. Could t quite get the rhythm of the water so it was a lot of wobbly starts and misses but it was food for the soul. And I have to say, I got a pair of O’Neil Psycho 7mm booties and they are by far THE most comfortable and warm booties I’ve ever worn. They felt like I was wearing rubber socks but were warm and great feel for the deck. Surfed for two hours before sun went away and wind kicked up harder.

I didn’t go out but I saw it today after work and it was offshore and small down my way... might have been bigger in the morning and was offshore too. Saw lots of guys going out - it was about waist high. Looked ‘fun’ coupled with the warm air temps

Yesterday afternoon was a surprise barrel fest with some fun walls. It was not that big nor heavy (chest on set) but I guess the lower tide just made them super hollow. Had a few right and left tubes I did not expect to make it out of. Ready for the warm up and hope the Saturday forecast holds.

went out Sunday evening after realizing that my morning sessions would be swallowed up by the night. was hard to tell if it was going to produce, but figured i should take my chances. took the big nasty indestructible 7'2 NSP cuz of it being close to lo tide, also took a 6'9 Loehr fish b/c of the incoming tide. turned into stomach to shoulder sets. just 3 of us btwn electric ave n aftershock. had only a power hr to rock it, and thought about switching out the NSP but i had some really fun ones and thought that NSP got me over the 2nd set to ride several into shore. real tuff to cutback on that board, but managed to. also noticed i didn't slip once, all waves were manageable - no wipeouts. went out yesterday evening, but the waves were long gone

Same! Expected it to be thigh high, so I took the log to work. Turned out to be chest high+ on set! Even pulled into a few. There were some waves I was totally wishing I had a shortboard. But the sun was shining... and I was surfing. That's all that really matters.

What is Happening? Is Spring happening? I think Spring is happening. I'm buying lawn seed. Always good to see yous all getting on it.

Got a fun one yesterday. Headed to a nook that would be protected by the side shore winds. Found it chest high with a few head high peaks outside every now and then. The wind had a bit more south than I thought it would, so there was a wrinkle at the take off but it smoothed out inside. Rode my squash tail thruster. Such an easy ride in quality waves. Best rides were from behind that outside peak straight down then right up into a backside top turn. It was the only vertical spot. The fish may have handled it but not as well. After that it dimished to chest high and got all slopey. Turns just to get a longer ride and not really much at the end of it. Except a long paddle back. The fish would have been better there but not by much. One of those days where really anything would have worked. Just some tasty rides in nice weather. Followed it up with a falafel at a picnic table.

Looking at another weekend swell. Hope you guys gets some. Post up if you do.

Been getting lots of choppe sessions in lately. Last weekend both days had some good peaks and fun rides.

Yesterday itwas quite a mess except at a couple protected spots. Spring break being in full force the spot I surfed at was crowded and some kid dropped in on me and proceeded to fall. His buddy had a go pro and he was getting in everyone's way. I didn't even scold them, they were so young and oblivious LOL.

The waves were chest to shoulder high and every so often I'd go to the peak, jostle for a random set, and get a good ride on my 6'6" NA round nose. Smooth drops, good sections, some fast, some connecting all the way. I missed a few opportunities due to being overly cautious in the crowded lineup. but all in all got some nice rides and had fun enjoying Mother O's bounty. Life is goode.

Got in a 3 session day on Monday. OH sets in the morning, wedging peaks in the early afternoon, and an hour of barrelling perfection late day. Resuming body motion today.
