    I don't think I will go back to PU. Every board (I've had a lot) has gotten a delam in the same exact spot. Not sure why, might be because of my knee when barrell riding or my butt when sitting. but without fail, same spot, every board in less than 1 year. Can't have that.[/QUOTE]

    I thought that about my pu boards, but its from duckdiving with your knee, Thats what i figured mine out.

    My favorite contest board is a 6'0 firewire. And my favorite board is my 5'9 single fin. Or my alaia is sick

    5'11 x 19.25 x 2.5 Greenroom Whiskey Fish shaped by Jimmy Keith. It's the nice home-made epoxy resin that they have micro-brewed, and i've had my board for almost a year, and it still holds up fine, actually, there have been numerous times when I sure-fire ding turned out to be just a pressure ding. Plus it rides like a dream, and will catch knee-high waves, but it excels in stomach - overhead, even if it is a little thick and wide. And it handles some late drops too!

    If I didn't need a longboard, my next board would be a Greenrrom, great company for any one living in NC.

    This was when it was brand new:

    I destroy the PU boards myself. I hear the arguments that the "pop outs " have no soul but its hard to argue with my 6'2 epoxy Mike Hynson fish that can shred the smallest VB waves and out paddle the pain in the butt longboarders who catch waves on the shoulder (at least I bought it from a local shop). My other favorite shredstick is a PU 6'3 Gurney Collins Hotline performance egg.

    I would check Surfers Supplies, I know they have had a sale with $50-100 off select boards.
    There has been a 6 2" Rich Pavel Speeddialer sitting on the rack for at least a year now. I'm about to order one myself. You could also look into getting a Tim Nolte Retro Fish from them, a much less expensive option. I had one years ago, so much fun. 7Th Street carries Larry Mabile (Third World Exotic) Classic Keel's, Larry shapes the Kane Garden's.
    I would guess you would know Heritage has the Brian Wynn keels, awesome but pricey, but the Heritage in Margate has a bunch of Joel Tudor fishes the have been there forever and are $350-300 off there original prices. Good Luck!

    if you go direct thru wynn, the cost drops a lot lower...even more so if you just go w/ a plain white sanded finish. that should go around 525-500 or less. i got my 5'10" bonzer from him for around 650 w/ glassed-on side runners & a full resin tint. the board prob. would've been closer to 700 or so if i bought it off the rack. :cool:

    Well My longboard is gonna be around 900. But I am getting it Glassed heavy. 10oz volan with a extra 6oz on the deck and rails. and I am having the fin box and tail blocked with 40oz as well . 1/2 inch Balsa Stinger. With color I was gonna go with a Ice blue color and a mint green pin stripe outline on the top of the deck.

    Its gonna be very retro and heavy like I like all my longboards.

    Far as the twin Keel thats gonna be only if I get a good tax return

    6'4x13x21x16x2.5 battail quad version of a modern fish. EPS/Epoxy handshape. Shallow single to double, slightly down rails, relaxed rocker. Great all-arounder for beachies in waist high to a foot overhead.

    6'3'' 7S superfish. Ride it 1 foot to 10 or whatever we get here. Early entry to the wave and super fast down the line. Very little rocker so it gets hairy when its dumping. I get used to it as its my only shortboard. It isnt a fat thick fish. The rails are rather thin so you can do good turns. Not to far in the pocket as it is very flat rocker. I hate all other boards after riding this for 4 years. And good quality. Little pressure dings after super frequent charging use.

    A++++ board though.
