Can't say that I have, but they look like they'll do the job though. I have a pair of O'Neill Psychofreaks that I really like. They have a cushioned arch support and split toe. They feel great when I wear them, which is very rare, but they have gotten some use.

LOL Don't be jealous! I'll have you know, we get a couple of legit cold days every year, without fail. It's worth the investment for those few days we get. You see, it can be 75 degrees one day and air drops to 35-45 degrees in a few hours. That pic I posted from New Years Day 2018 was a warm day, but two days later my buddy who lived on the Gulf joined me for a surf at the same spot you and I hit up and I had to let him borrow my hood, which I ended up giving to him because I hate it. The boots also came in handy on my trip to Santa Cruz a few years back, which was probably the coldest water (50 degrees) I have been in aside from a few days in the Gulf and trips to North FL a few years back.

Word, those are 3.5mm. Once you figure out the trick to getting them on and off they're easy to deal with.
Not when you use that loop hanging off the back of the foot the correct way. 1st time I was like WTF am I doing wrong, then I figured it out and it was easy.

With all due respect and stoke to my Bro’ ...cold days? In Florida? The last time I surfed was early March and the water was 37 -air a balmy 22 in the wind. Every time I read one of your posts I live vicariously a little bit... and I always end up with board short envy hahahap
I know I know, it’s all relative. You guys have the cold conditions on lock down, it’s all yours. You guys can have it. Lol That said, have you ever paddled out in 30 degrees air and 50 degree water here in FL? I have lol it doesn’t happen often, but it can and has happened. Sometimes people come to visit us during late Winter / early Spring thinking it’s going to be warm, because well, it’s FL right? And come to find out it ends up being colder here than it was back home. Again, it’s not the norm, but there are days here and there that would make anybody cold, regardless of where you are from. I have much respect for you cold weather guys though, it takes dedication and toughness to deal with extreme cold for extended periods of time like youse guys do. When we have a cold spell like I referred to earlier it always makes me think of youse guys and how it must be like that a lot of the time.
Yeah man, it's all relative. This is my view.... there's cold which we all experience including you. Then there's really cold that us northern guys experience. And the difference in equipment between the two diffrent levels of cold is pretty extreme. For example, 3.5 vs 7 mil booties haha. Both booties obviously but totally diffrent. As far as the solites....i don't have em but want to tru them. My buddy just got a pair this year. He hates wearing the 7mil booties and says the solites feel like nothing. Like he's barefoot. BUT they are not as warm. They are 6 mil i believe then come with a "sock" or somthing if you need the extra warmth. On a average to slightly above average winter day temperature wise he says he's warm. But when we get those brutal days with water in the low 30s and air in the teens or lower they are not quite as warm (with that extra "sock") as the typical 7mills of whatever brand you rock. I personally don't mind wearing 7 mils as far as performance. Not sure if im just used to them or what but i think id prefer more warmth over a barefoot feel for my local. Pretty sure your in NJ zero, right? My opinion is this. If your in northern jerz just stick to your normal gear for the dead of winter. You'll be warmer. If your in southern jerz they might be worth trying. Ofcourse your opinion on that barefoot feeling comes into play. If normal booties don't bother you, then i don't see the point. Fall/spring when things aren't as cold is obviously diffrent
