Lot of those videos of draining tubes in NJ are the result of beach replenishment. Every time they refill the beaches in my town the waves get better.

Before they started all this the sand was the way it was supposed to be, and everywhere was good. Real coves, points, inlets, sandbars.

I guess I know of a couple spots that are like points in NJ. I can think of three off the top of my head. They're kinda "fake" points. All of them are where a man-made, hardened coastline abruptly stops, and a natural coastline starts. Here's one... Screen Shot 2019-04-15 at 7.39.50 AM.png

Used to be. Before man in the form of the army corps of engineers ruined the entire coast.

On the right day even now cape point is one example of a natural point.

The sandy hook cove may have been a perfect point before they tampered with it.

Longest ride I ever got in NJ was at that spot. Hurricane Dennis in 1999.

Quality vid on how the Army Core totally ruined one of the best spots in FL. Again, glad it helped you guys up north, but down here, kind words are rarely spoken about the Army Core of Engineers.

ACOE totally destroyed North End Long Branch, too. Plus a ton of other spots in Monmouth County that were changed forever by the shortening and notching of jetties. Even the Cove is a pathetic shadow of it's former self due to decades of replenishment.

Immediately after a pumping project is done, the waves usually are gone. Then, over time... as things shift and normalize, they gradually start to get better. But then... here they come again... and the whole cycle starts over.

I would love to see the Army Corp of Engineers work on Trestles, Rincon, Blacks, Outer Banks,.....they need their bottoms rearranged for he betterment of fishes. And Pipeline?? Too many reefs...they should blasted so little kiddies can swim there after their soccer practice....
    Pe'ahi needs a breakwater, don't you think??

I didn't even bring up the ridiculous damage they have done to our local waterways and water quality with their mismanagement of Lake Okeechobee. It's been a total disaster the past few years. They just keep creating more problems, I guess it's their way of creating job security. Nuke em all, right Barry?!

My condolences to everyone's losses at the hands of the ACOE. Gonna pour a little out for First Peak tonight.

Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is engulfed in flames . Roof is gone; a spire is gone. Been there since 12th century.

They just said on the news that the entire wooden structure is likely destroyed. The roof has collapsed.
