I hear that. I do too, but I think this place is what keeps me sane throughout the work week.

Your correct...El roque has educated this crew on this thread numerous times about illegal immigration issues.

It seems redundant but there are two or three among us that did not get it the first three times...

    Glad your out of purgatory...

Every person living in this country can do so off of the valor of others. Bar none.
    Even illegals.......

So true and too often not understood or appreciated. The freedoms we have in this country are due to the valor and sacrifices of others.

There are certainly other, what should be more important and newsworthy events in this world than US politics and the "get Trump at all costs" movement. Yet seemingly three quarters of what I see/read in the news and commentaries is related to our country's embarrassing, never-ending political shit show.
What's going on with our deployed troops who daily put their lives on the line? Coverage seems somewhat scarce on that.

Its all part of the plan. Its a takeover of the Western Civilization, the final domino for Globalization that wants to impoverish the middle class. Control the masses to funnel them into a more controlled civilization so the Elites can rule with advanced technologies.

How do people not see this happening before their very eyes? I guess people have become so numb to craziness. We have had our minds zapped by television that the average person cant tell the difference between made-up world and reality.

I would say it's because most people don't see it that way unless they turn on TV/Internet and are told it's happening...
If I don't watch the news I don't see illegals storming the border. If I don't watch CNN/NBC I don't hear that DJTs a racist.
What is a "made up world." Is that where I live? I earn a decent living, have a family I love and do what I want when I want to... Taxes suck, but that's my biggest complaint.

Obviously you are content without needing to question our reality. Good for you, but eventually everyone will be faced with the lifting of their veil.

For almost 40 years it's been my reality. I guess I could live in daily fear that it's coming to an end, but that doesn't seem fun

I also notice coverage of our National Debt has become pretty scarce. For some reason once Obama left office, no one cares about the debt piling up anymore. It's all about Trump all the time now pretty much everywhere.

I work with some people who literally won't let their 12 year old kid walk or bike outside of their development for fear of abduction. They watch Dateline and social media and have concluded, based on a few data points in a big echo chamber, that the risk of having their 7th grader snatched up by MS 13 ransom seekers (in freaking rural Delaware) is a huge new threat.

I think that’s because the economy is so strong at the moment. Hate trump all you want but you can not argue with the numbers.

Ignorance is bliss. "That can't happen to me, or my family", until it does.

I was just talking about that with my wife's family this weekend. They were saying how dangerous everything is and how it's not like when I was young and could walk to my friends house at 8 years old... I called BS and said it's seems that way because you know about everything now and 30 years ago you didn't... If a kid went missing in Idaho I never knew about it, but now with instant knowledge of everything that happens in the world it seems more dangerous...
If anything it's safer. If a kid goes missing now there's most likely video footage and you can get an amber alert to everyone with a phone immediately.

I agree but isn't that life? I could never get bit in half by a shark, until I do... But I still surf without fear (usually)

Then the debt number should be going down. The markets were setting all time high under Obama and the debt continued to rise, that was a problem. Same thing is happening now, yet not so much of a problem it seems.

Fair point, I don't live my life in fear either. But to be oblivious to certain things isn't how I roll either.

Right....people who grew up in an age where cars that ran on leaded gas didn't have seatbelts, the penalty for drunk driving was the town cop laughed at you and told you to to go get a coffee at the 24 hour diner, and bike paths were a European idea, are convinced its more dangerous than ever for their kids to be on the street because of what they see on FB.
