If you can find someone to take you out on a boat masonboro island can have good waves at times

 

Last time I went to Masonboro my buddies leash got bit in half by a bull shark. The inlet is a well known bull shark feeding ground and the beach is totally infested. They are the one of the most aggressive breeds of shark and they have a taste for human flesh.
