ocmd was so good this morning. winds went HARD west around 12 or so. just 3 of us surfed 'midtown' alone for a a little over an hour. waves had amazing form. waves were good all over oc equal or better quality.
actually xgen he is, ever though his handle doesnt reflect it. hes my roommate. But damn this morning was absolutely unreal. I think this morning everywhere was working. Didnt matter what street, but it started to get funky around 12:30. And damn it was cold to get out....yikes
Yeah. I was out this morning to in that "midtown area". I might of seen you capesurfer. I was on the black and red bodyboard. Those waves had some nice open faces on them.
Will the swell be chest high in the wrong direction tomorrow? Hard offshore all night, makes sense to me......?
"ever though his handle doesnt reflect it" , ...yes I did. (thought that is) Maybe we could say since when?, would that apply to your situation? Either way the effect is/was the same, sorry if some do not understand,.. ....some nooks and crannies come and go over the years, considering the time of year it is and the current flux that our beaches are in, the inclusion of a specific spot could have been avoided, ...it was not useful. Off season is for what you experienced this morning, so for you to go a bit farther by talking about racetracks for your morning session it is kind of counter intuitive,... if you have been surfing for any period of time. After taking pictures on Monday at said spot, I really do not think an extra 5 to 10 heads (per swell) between now and May 1st is what you want,.. instead of just a 3 man solo session.
dang 'midtown' is usually crowded as f*** i was just remarking on how crazy it was that we got it alone for an hour. i mean, in my opinion midtown is common knowledge as a great spot. and it looked like it was better south a little, we just scored it alone which was fun. channel your anger at sites like 'wannasurf.com' or 'surfline' or the countless other web sites that will spot drop every spot you ever thought was 'secret' - or better yet, pick up the stormrider guide to north america.
Lol @ getting all internet tough on a guy naming a street TWO block away from where every kook from PA to Baltimore makes a b-line for.............Shhhhhhh don't let them look left.....
