You know you're stoked on something thats going down this summer.... is there anything that you cant wait for?
The only surf-related thing I can't wait for is shedding the wetsuit and trunking it. The joy of that is almost negated by the crowds/kooks/swimmers of summer though. Outside of surfing, I'm stoked for the summer weather and BBQs.
Going to Costa Rica. Taking my wife and two daughters. The girls will be psyched over all the wildlife. The wife digs the mellow vibe. I plan to surf until I can't move my arms.
Keeping a pair of Vipers in the car and bodysurfing 2' mush at a blackballed beach on my lunchbreak. When that first tropical swell shatters the silence of the summer doldrums. Girls, half naked, everywhere. Curling all ten piggies over the nose rail and holding onto it like a gorilla. Not so fun... but looking forward to it just the same... Raw nipples. Pulling wax balls out of the leg hair of my inner thighs. Ouch! HA!
i'm pumped for this summer. by the way this is my 1st post. this site is my go to site for the surf report but never signed up for the message board until now. 1st off pumped to take off the wet suit and surf in board shorts. not pumped for the summer crowds but i'll deal with it i live in ac, new jersey. 2nd pumped for phish summer tour the wife and i are hittin up 7 shows on the summer tour.this will bring me up to 118 phish shows attended. plus on top of that we're going to a sick festival in maine called nateva. the fest is from july 1st-4th and the lineup is great. great music and camping what else could you ask for plus in maine. here is the festival lineup for anyone insterested!! plus the following weekend after the fest is bob weir and phil lesh with furthur at the mann music center in philly for 2 nights. these are the reasons i'm pumped for the summer. also the wife and i are in the process of doing a bunch of remodeling to our house and it's gonna look good!! Not having to deal with school... I'd take a worry free summer off any day even if the waves are marginal ... but then my mind rots away... hmmm better get some stuff together...
i'm stoked on several things: extended log sessions in trunks in the early am after i see my girlfriend off to work that first tropical swell (i'm hopeing for a june/july like 2008) my trip to the maldives in august hatteras for a week w/ my girlfriend & best friend of 15 years who i don't get to see nearly often enough (he lives in florida) & his gf & hopefully getting the opportunity to try my new jeep on the beaches down there bbq's & extended beer-swilling sessions on the back porch my favorite bar in strathmere opens up road trips up & down the coast (swell permitting) sitting on the beach after hours when all the screaming children have left & reading a book & drinking beer as the sun sets that's just what i can think of right now. i'm sure more will pop up as summer draws nearer.
This will be the first time I will not be in OCM for the whole summer in a while, but when I'm going to miss working at the food lion with all the russians, warm water, and fractured prune donuts after an am session on 28th street.
im excited for tons of things. One being that the sun goes down at 9. Another is to make some cool vids of skiming with a sponge at uppers and actual bodyboarding and surfing. when waves are flat skim is always an option which is cool. And another is that fact that its gonna be warm and that means less cloths, bikinis. and then i can achive a grargasm without going in the water.
I cant wait for summer in general . Super long sessions in Birdwells and My new Beaver tail , Local contest, BBQ's , And Indian Summer surf trips
you guys have me so stoked... people ask me why i fly from california to new jersey and everything you guys said can qualify as an explanation... cant wait to see those bing boards in the lineup again!
building a mini ramp and skateing the hell out of it, bbq, pbr's, and morning sessions before the crowds show up.
