I know no one likes to give up good spots, but I just bought a new board and have not seen a decent swell since. I am a LBI surfer and do all my surfing there. I have to go to Cape May this weekend. I see that it might pick up alittle this weekend. I am only know and have surfed the "Cove" or whatever its called. There is always to many newbs and people there. I did not know if there was any other decent spots?

    Thanks if anyone can help!

The Cove is more of a longboard wave. Any jetty north of there will work.

Yea I used to ride a 6'6" fun board which was decent for the Cove. I now bought a 6'4" K-Small. I hope this weekend holds out.

    Thanks for the input

ive taken the ferry over a few times and have yet to see the cove worthwhile. great thing about CM is you just drive down the street and check every jetty..Honestly, CM is so tide dependent that a tide chart is more useful than a road map.

Last Spring/early Summer I hit up Cape May a lot. It's not a very consistent place to surf though. Last Fall I went for Ida, but it was mobbed. It was four of the twelve days a year it was pumping. Broadway is a good spot, and so is the beach next to it actually. Don't they call it Headquarters? Aside from that I don't haven't seen many good spots. Just the Cove, Broadway, Headquarters, Stockton sometimes too, and Poverty once in a great while. I don't feel bad for name dropping, because there is a good chance it will be unsurfable. Good luck though.

Yeah things dont look to good for the cape might wanna hit wildwood. 2nd street and is the surfing beach during the day . The only place you can surf during the day is The Cove in CM . After the lifeguards leave you can surf where ever you want.

Yea true I forgot about the lifeguards. Good point maybe I will check out wildwood. Any idea of when the lifeguards start? Might try to hit it up early if the tide is right.
