East swell for the end of this week/weekend... Any chance of rideability?

Hey shupat don't be a Debby Downer. You just have to nut up and ride that chunky mess. Bust out the flying pig and go for it.

This! Because that during the winter doesn't seem as inviting.

next update should show more height... but just depends on how your spots handle the E wind swell and how picky you are

how do you choose spots for a east swell like what direction should the beach potentially be facing?

Sorry man... But your wrong... Your gonna wanna find a beach that faces anything but due west. An east swell hitting a west facing beach will usually be too walled up, and close out a lot. That is why South and North swells work so well on west facing beaches, because the angles equal to a nice peeling wave...

Plus with the south east winds, I would look for a break that faces north.

better north or south facing, so the swell hits at an angle

yeah... for starters you will be hard up to find a west facing beach in the mid atlantic haha. Also, you dont necessarily have to find a north or south facing beach, just a jetty or pier to split those walls. good luck, hopefully i wont see you at my not so secret spot.
