    Gnarly Dude...

These kooks have no idea what GNARLY is. Gnarly is when you've gone beyond radical, beyond extreme, it's balls out danger, & or perfection, & or skill or all of that combined.
-Nobody can shred like that guy, he's ****in gnarly.
-That chick has prefect tits, she's ****ing gnarly.
-Pipeline in the winter is ****ing GNARLY!

Dawn Patrol was pointless by me today... Let's see what it looks like this afternoon/evening. Hopefully another fun late afternoon session is in store.

Tell me if I am wrong but if we had a west facing beach it would problaby be flat. As hard as the wsinds have been blowing it would not let the swell come in. Lake atlantic. I do know a north facing beach close by and gonna check it out. Have never surfed it but it is worth a look.

Funny thing yesterday. Waves were twice as big as last Sunday, way longer rides, six foot faces on the outside sets, and a vacant line up. I'm not complaining.

It was okay around 6:00-6:30 am. Chest to shoulder with some fun drops. No juice to keep the ride going, though. I managed to hop a few past the flats spots, but it wasn't often.

Coming out of a super flat July, I definately won't complain!

Mid-tide session was super fun. A bit tough catching the actual waves, but hell of a ride once you caught em... Some 90 degree drops as well. Super steep.

    Really??
    1. Draw a picture with a north arrow (pointing to the top of the page)
    2. Draw a wave vector coming from the east (or from right to left)
    3. Draw your shoreline relative to the north arrow
    4. Extend vector to the west (left) until it runs off the page
    5. If your beach get hit by the vector, then surf the side that is facing the same direction (left) as the vector. You should get good wrap around. Have fun for me.

There were some serious elevator drops right after low today, like board not touching the water on the way down type stuff. There were some fun ones if you picked and chose right. Paddling back out sucked though.

At 7:00 am it was like a washer machine with a wicked drift. In 5 min you were down a block. Caught a few and was done in a hour but had a great breakfast :D
