In the Mid Atlantic, anything out there is still mostly Danielle leftovers... No Earl Swell showing on Mid Atlantic Buoys. Earl just started showing on the Florida Buoys, so it should start creeping North. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=41010
Um, I checked a couple spots in Nags Head this morning. There is no way that is leftovers. Biggest its been in 7 days (in town) Head + and glassy. It is on its way. Earl, easy big guy.
if the waves were coming from the E to ENE then it was Danielle. If the swells were coming in from the SE then it was Earl swell starting to show. Buoys look like Danielle this morning.
Im just going to wait as the dawn patrol tomorrow will be sick in va beach. No really crazy winds until tomorrow eve. Then fri should be great from noon on. what you think stud?
where you surfing in Va beach , northend was real fun last night and early this morning , now im not saying it was epic but its was a soild waist high with sets a little bigger.
yeah, i was surprised that ocnj had decent size and power to it and the direction seemed to be from the ENE so the lefts were working, draining as well... just a little inconsistant
I think we will have solid south swell tomorrow morning. I already took the day off work. Hitting dawn patrol. Get out, breakfast. Back out around 10. Lunch around 1 Back out for an evening sesh if it is not already too big and crazy.
check out the buoys to the south... The swell has been filling in from Florida to North Carolina all day and now showing in Delmarva.
South east NC started filtering in some earl swell around 9 this morning...currently rising and should get pretty big by morning, hope the winds kick north.
