I was in the mood for some nice stomach-shoulder high waves for the weekend. Now I'll have to take out the fish?? Ehh...

truly sad...I know these swellinfo guys try their best to give us good info, but this is two straight storms that we've been let down on. Guess I shouldn't get my hopes up any more than one day in advance.

having some issues with the wave model handling the hurricanes and inflating swell heights... The issue in the wave physics have been identified, and now it time t work in implementing the changes necessary. Been crazy stressful, but has only been an issue that has appeared with these hurricanes.

Best lesson here is to just get out there and check it. :) Hope you get it all worked out Micah, I know bugs or glitches can be a drag...

Swellinfo is a terrific thing with lots of great info...and I thank you for that Micah. Y'all need to learn that this is not an exact science and you need to actually get off your butts and check your local spots. Learn to understand your local tide, wind, swell requirements and use this to supplement the info you get here. Maybe I'm old school, but that was one of the first things I learned...what makes my local break go off.
Learn that and you'll never go wrong.

No school like the old school. Modern forecasting tools are handy, but you have to APPLY that data.

I'm not kissing anything pal, never have never will to anyone. All I'm saying is people need to stop complaining how horrible of a job others are doing and learn to get off their butt, check things for themselves and make some educated decisions. Or is that too hard for people to do these days? As with everyday, I will be checking the surf on saturday morning...and by my knowledge and calculations, there will be clean chest high sets at my local break.

Dude, it's not swellinfo's fault if a forecast is wrong. It's a sophisticated computer model that's generating the forecasts. Swellinfo simply generates super easy to read and clear forecasts directly from that model(s) output. I love this site.

again, the title of this thread is 'saturday morning' and the hope was to speculate the conditions of said day/time. we know this site does a good job, otherwise we wouldn't be on it.

my thought is before sunrise there will be some clean chest high surf at minimum..
