16 seconds

    Do you think that 16 seconds would be to long of a period for monmouth county because its about the same amount as Dannielle and we got skunked

    I am so sick and tired of all these barneys talking like "yeah we got skunked etc..." wit Danielle. Jump on the band wagon "PRO". Although she did not live up the hype I HAD A BLAST and she sure beat the summer doldrums ! so suck one and stay out of the water .

    youll get some more swell than danielle, the storm is projected to be slightly closer. but the period doesnt mean youll get it or not. danielle had ~15 seconds and you guys got little because of the refraction of the swell. earl had about the same and you did get it. i'd be more concerned on the swell direction:

    danielle ESE - SEish
    earl SE - SSE

    those few degrees made a large difference


    someone correct me if im wrong. ive just gathered all the info from reading the forecasts/threads

    should be biggest south, similar to Danielle, but this is a bigger swell and does have more south in it.
