i heard about this in a rap song...

go buy yourself $125 worth of cocaine (the 8 ball), a box of arm and hammer, some other miscellaneous mixers, and cook up a good batch of crack. Make it dirty too, like 3 grams produces a pound type of thing. Now take that batch out to Atlantic city at like midnight and unload it in the nickel slot machine room.

A few go-arounds of this and you'll be flying first class to Indo, you wont even have to stress the rain, winds, and dirty water associated with hurricanes. Dont forget my cut, 10% or a 10 day trip. Good luck, "cuz dem streets aint easy".

Ha ha ha ha ha ha....seriously? No offense, but it's 2010...financial responsibility means making partial payments and running up the credit card because "everyone's doing it.". Sorry, man. I'm not laughing at you....just the statement.

As for the original question: If you are young and single and your debt won't impact anyone else negatively, do it up. If you are going to use a credit card, don't get nuts when you break the seal and start spending away.

BTW, it's refreshing to see somebody, at least trying to live within their means. Enjoy!

if thats all i had for two weeks man i'd be in bad shape. i would take the chance though, but only for a swell thats worth it. i been trying to do a lot of work myself when it's flat. summer, and fall/winter i try to make my slowest seasons. spring i make my busiest, because the swells are usually mediocre if not dead just like what we saw this past spring.

Yeah, go surf... for real... And do the crack thing like the other guy said. Its the american way. The only way for a poor young man in this country to make an honest, quick buck is by dealing drugs, Godspeed sir.

    well, you have 3 options.
1- use the plastic to pay for gas and go $50 into debt, then pay it back when you get your check

2- use 50 of your $200, then eat 711 nachos/hot dogs every other day. its unlimited toppings, so pack on the chili and cheese, maybe even get an extra plate

    or

    3- make/sell crack/oregano

these made me really realize what i need more. i dont need money, it doesnt bring me any happiness, its just there for stability in my life. what gets me through is doing what i enjoy so im sure as hell not letting anything get in the way of that

somewhere in the back of my mind i knew i was gonna go regardless, it just feels good to know others would do the same so thanks to everyone!

on a different note, now that i moved its quicker for me to go to southern NJ rather than northern where i have usually gone. i was planning on going to the AC area (ventnor/brigantine) since its closest but i usually bring a couple boards with me and leave the spare in the car, will i have to worry about it getting jacked near the city there? ive never had problems up north or in LBI but was wondering if i should just drive further to avoid any problems.

You will be fine in Brigantine. And Ventnor and Margate felt pretty safe when I was there. I wouldn't advise leaving my car/board out in a back alley in AC. Just pay to park or something thats not real sketchy. Its a crapshoot down some of those streets. But you will be fine. Go to brigantine. Fickle, but I just scored it two weeks ago. Fun stuff. Good luck.

Im pretty sure a better question is, Which rap song from the entire 1990s decade did not give you steps by steps on how to cook crack. Pretty much any Biggie/Mobb Deep/Nas/NWA/Ice Cube/Dre track every written give you the breakdown on that. Gotta love it.

I can rember when my life was "simpler" All I worried about was payin the rent which was 300 bucks a month including electric and having something cold to drink in the fridge . I only drove my car to and from work and when i went on surf trips outa town . everything else I rode my bike. I didnt think twice about buying boards or wetsuits whenever I wanted.

Now I have to think a little more and priorities my decsions cause they just dont affect me anymore.

I wouldnt change any of it cause I am thankful for the journey life has put me on
