Surfing the North Shore and Indo? Brudda, I wish. Goddamn I can't even get off the EC, not to say anything bad. I take great pride in being a Beast from the East, and tell you thetruth I dont have much desire to hit up any West Coast. Seems like there is a lot more localism, wave-hogs, and kooks over there. But Oz? THATS where I'd definitey want to go, and even relocate sometime down the road. But for now, I'll stick to my cold water, beachbreaks, and blown-out conditions. mmmmmmm...home sweet home.

So, from what you say, there are probably more kooks who are surfers than bodyboarders. Because its pretty hard to look cool bodyboarding during the summer. People don't respect it. I would say that there are alot more surfers that do it to be cool then those who do it for fun. I hate that.

Since I hurt my knee and started sponging more I have definately come to realize a lot of surfers have a chip on their shoulder and seem to have something to prove. The vibe in the water when around only spongers and when around only surfers is sooo different. Most of the people on here that hate on spongers probably can't do much in anything overhead high (standing up or otherwise) and just hate to make themselves appear to be better than they are while hiding behind their screen name.

my sausage is bigger than yours....

p.s. anyone who lets a little cold water keep them out of the lineup, unless they are broke and can't afford gear, is I'm sorry, a bit of a Kootch. there no denying or justifying that... Thats just my two cents...

I surf but I started out bb'ing. In fact when I first started surfing, jay reale was a huge help. I personally think the delmarva bb'ers have way less kooks since they are a much more tight knit group and are pretty hardcore. let's face it, surfing is way more popular than bb'ing and as a result, all the 'cool' kids gravitate toward that. unfortunately, many of those same people never take the time to learn the rules of the game and pay their dues which are the keys to respect in the water. that respect is what separates the kooks from the rest.

That is the only that of merit said on this whole thread besides the original post of the kid being stoked. So the kid is stoked on the waves he got, why is everyone ****ty about it? Of course warm weather brings crowds, it happens every year, and will happen every year. Get over it.

I think Tommy hit the nail on the head.......at least around here.........Foam or Glass

"Most of the people on here that hate on spongers probably can't do much in anything overhead high (standing up or otherwise) and just hate to make themselves appear to be better than they are while hiding behind their screen name."

On a side note: With all due respect, what is up with MDSurfer? I thought he had a kid or something that trys to go out on foam, even posted some pictures of it. But then he is always making little remarks that would lead one to believe that he has no respect for the foam?

Just something I have noticed for a while,........

people are frustrated because the empty lineups they've enjoyed for the last 5-6 months are about to get crowded.

Ever get out from behind the lens & actually ride waves bigger than waist high.

All your little hidden comments & remarks show just how much of a clown you really are. I personally don't care if you like me or bodyboarders in general, I don't do it for you or anyone else.

Your additude towards BBING seems more like jealousy not actually hatred.

You stick to shooting & riding the little DelMarVa waves & as the Big Kahuna sitting on your high & mighty sand dune. We will all be waiting for the next epic photostrip & insightful comments to ponder.

    wat?

Why are you guys talking **** on MDsurfer. who cares what he does surf, bodyboard, or take pictures. As long as you enjoy what you are doing it doesn't matter. Also, you can't jundge a person just based on what they say on this site. You can easily misunderstand what people are trying to say. I met him once and he seemed really chill.

wow...this post went from stoked to surf...... to kooks...... then to hating on bbr's.

    I like it:D

btw a kook is a unskilled surfer/bbr - has nothing to do with attitude or where you live or any of that. We all were kooks once.....remember those grom days?

But yeah as summer nears the soup gets kooky. hence the word KOOK SOUP.

they are coming and there's nothing we can do about it.
