I have been hooked on Asahi (Japanese beer) for a while now. However, I just started drinking Kronenbourg 1664. The refreshing taste is just too hard to pass, especially after a hard swim in the pool. I hate most of our domestics (coors, michelob, budweiser<-the worst) Microbrews are good, but too thick and hoppy.

    What wets your whistle?

    Whiskey...
    Whiskey in the morning
    Whiskey in the evening
    Whiskey thru the nite.
    Beer just makes me pee.

It really depends on what im doing and what kind of mood im in.
One of my go to's is Dos Equis Amber
In the fall- any kind of Octoberfest will do
I pretty much always go for a Smithwicks on draft at an Irish pub
After a long day of surfing- a bottled Coors Light that just came out of the freezer for about 10 mins or just out of a cooler of ice and water mixture is perfect.

I enjoy a good hefe weisse, my favorite is made by Franziskaner.

I'll go for yuengling if i need cheap beer.

And pretty much anything in-between depending on my mood, where i am, etc.

more often than not, it's yuengling, magic hat, or dogfish head. i'm also a big fan of guinness, esp. post-winter surf. liquor-wise, i like dark rums & irish whiskey.

i REALLY can't stand the cheap domestic crud.

I have been drinking a beer called Palm. Its a belgian Amber. Just dark enough, but tastes smooth and light. It is seriously one of the best Ive ever had. Ive been hooked on it since I went to a chargers charity event this summer and they were serving it. I brought it into my restaurant now and we have it on tap... Its money....

But, yuengling is still my favorite. UNAVAILABLE on the west coast... BOOO!!

Hard to beat Bavarian brews in-country.

Too many good craft brews in USA to mention. Lately, two of my favorites have been the New Belgium Brewing Company's 1554 Enlightened Black Ale and Ommegang's Abbey Ale.

palm is here on the east coast, good stuff, havent seen it on draft yet though. Remids me of a boddington ale. Leinenkugel is good stuff too, heifen wiesen, i really liked blue moon at one point but eh,,,but above anything else the most important factor to me is that the beer hasT to be cold. 33* m*therf*uca!!!!

Leinenkugel is AWESOME! I got a free case of it last year from a vendor and we handed them out at our golf tourny... They were w big hit. Easy to drink and has more flavor than a moon or a traditional heff... Great stuff. Only had it in the bottle..

P.S. I think Palm in the bottle is SLIGHTLY better. Something about the freshness in those bottles. If you pop the bottle cold, you can't help but drink the entire thing in like 2 minutes. I usually drink beer slow, but that stuff goes down like honey water... A little different on draft. Still great though.

I think beer is often served wayyy too cold. The optimum temperature for flavor, or so I've read, is mid-low 40's.

That being said, on a hot summer day i like my beer cold too.
