JERSEY: REP YOUR HOOD. Sound off with what part of Jersey you live in. I dont need a GPS location or a street name, but a general community/area would be nice. Jersey is a big as$ state. I just want to see who lives where and how much they like that Particular area.

The only spots Ive been in Coastal Jersey is from Brigantine down to OC NJ. Had fun surf there. Love AC... Jersey seems pretty dope, but then again, everyone I know back home from OC MD claims the same thing you guys do. OC MD is it. The best around. Best place to live, best place to surf etc....

you're an embarassment to your country.

i've been to europe multiple times and never had a problem, even without hiding the fact that i am an american.

you'll find rude people coming from all corners of the world

I should have elaborated. I loved "VISITING" A/C =). And by love, I mean it was my bachelor party, I won 1400$ at the craps table (everyone in my whole group killed it. Everyone made over a G in one night) I got head high surf that morning out in South Brigantine. I played the worst golf in my life, but that was in Brigantine. The strip club we went to at 3am was crazier than any place ive been to in Tijuana, so over all, it is pretty hard to say anything bad about A/C...

Now living there is another story...

But like Ive said before, I am a restaurant GM, so although I wouldnt live IN A/C, I could get a very, very nice job there. There are sick restaurants all up and down the strip that are year round crowded... So, I would like to know about those surrounding areas and how chill they are for surfers to live in.

Pleasantville looks cool. Freaking 3 bedroom homes over there for 100-120K, with fences and yards... about 3-4 miles from the beach... right over the bridge in A/C

Spots like Margate and Ventnor look sick too (on paper/maps), but they seem awefully close to A/C and I would assume there is some ghetto sh** that spills down south to that region....

So, I was just curious. I dont know how many guys live within walking distance to the beach or if everyone mostly lives over the bridges and on the mainland side of things...

    Just curious.

p-ville is only cool if you like shootings every other day, corrupt cops that shoot your dog if it looks anything like a pitbull, & sh***y schools.

margate & ventnor are much better places than AC...as far as i can tell (not living there, but passing thru & surfing there) the ghetto bs doesn't spill over.

i live in oc...pm me if you want more info about the town. i've lived here basically all my life.

ventnor and margate are actually really nice towns. ventnor is actually cheap to live in for what it is. i've seen houses there going for not much over 200k grand. pretty cheap for a beach town. margate isn't quite a cheap though from my observations. a lot of the houses in ventnor are old, and it's got a real city like feel to it. it kinda reminds me of urban neighborhoods in north jersey. it's got a real urban feel to it. it's not a ghetto, it's just the architecture of the houses, and the style. i was reading a while back about crime statistics in ventnor, and margate, and oddly enough the crime rates there were below average. not bad considering they're right next to atlantic city which is three or four times the average crime rate. the crime rate in ventnor was actually lower than ocean city, and sea isle city too if i'm correct.

having traveled and surfed the east coast extensively, NJ is #3 for surf after RI and NC - I'm cool with that, I can drive to RI in 3 hrs. and OBX in 9 and Newark airport has direct and not too $$ flights to Costa Rica, PR, even BVI isn't hard to get to.

I live in Brigantine, Surf Brigantine a lot, but AC normally hold waves a little better, so love surfing ac, (just got out of the water). really shady sometime but makes it fun. Surf Ventor and Margate different times. Its pretty fun got some variety in waves and spots if you know where to go at the right time
