i've done it w boardies, but not with a suit.

hopefully there is some sort of place you can attach a string/hand leash to the camera. so you get a long string, about 3 feet, and attach the hand leash to the key leash in your pocket. you'll want to tie some legit knots so you dont lose your camera. if you can't tie a bowline, you should look it up.

you can paddle around and surf with it in your pocket and you dont really notice it.

the attached pic is from 12 ft witch's rock.

That might work but it wont be as comfortable as having it snug to your upper arm i think

I have the GoPro surf camera that straps to your wrist. It locks down when your paddling and when you want to shoot just flip it up or take a chance and leave it locked down on your wrist. Go look at the Go Pro design and copy it. Or get the Go Pro! The strap sits just above the wrist. It velcro. It takes a little getting used to when paddling but so fun to shoot your friends or the fantastic shots only us surfers get to see from the water.

i was borrowing my friends this summer (i think it was olympus) but that a wrist strap that i used i just slid it on and like wrapped it around again and i could paddle with it clenched in my hand pretty easily. I only ever used it on a surfboard a couple times the other times i used a bodyboard or i just waded in the water.

so how did you paddle out with the olympus strap? cause my wrist surely doesnt take up the strap so if i wipeout it would probilly come straight off

do you know how you can put a rubber band on something and then use the same band and wrap it around a second time so its tighter, i did that. its really tight on your wrist but it can't fall off.
