Ok, the Swell Info Android app has just been released in the Android Market.

I am making the announcement only on the forum for now, so that you all can be my guinea pigs and tell me if you notice any bugs!

The app should work well, but please let me know if you notice any oddities. Then, we will get them fixed asap.

    Thanks! :D

    Just downloaded it.
I have three spots added, but I can't "toggle" between any of them- Its stuck on the first spot I picked?? On most apps, I can press menu and options come up, but not on swell info. I do like the look of it though- except for the flatness part.
    I'm using a Droid Eris.

you should be able to swipe between the location screens. Can you not do this?

    No Surf. Equivalent to Flat.

Why wouldn't it just say flat, I"m sure you are thinking... Well, I'm sure there is some reason, buried into the programming logic, which I can't think of right now.

I got it working now...user error and a cracked screen.
My screen is completely clean, green, and 4-6 ft!

This is my first purchase in the apps. It has been on "Authorizing purchase..." for a couple minutes now. Will it eventually go through? Restart it?

It should go through. If this is your first purchase you might need to provide payment info for your google account.

BTW, just installed it on my Incredible. So far I'm really digging it, very nice to have all the info you want so easily accessible.

Thanks for showing some Android love!

Yeah, I finally just clicked cancel, and then it said purchased. So I clicked that and it went through.

On HTC DInc. Works great! Have to get used to it and mess around with it.

Had the iphone/ipod app and loved it! Got the moto-droid and have been waiting for the release. Bought it yesterday and works great...no bugs noticed during purchase or use.

I agree with this. I like seeing the forecast diagram and on the DInc. with Flash, it loads up on the internet just fine. But will use the app for sure!

    Question

I just got a new android vortex, which is the low end model of all these types of phones. I can't download flash player on it to look at the the wave chart on the front page of swellinfo.com. My question is if I cant download flash would I not be able to get the swellinfo forcast app for my phone? Is the flash and app only available for the better models or can I get it on the vortex?
