So, in Southern LA and ARK, thousands of birds died on new years eve... People are citing "trauma to the breast area" as potential cause of death.... which was not the C.O.D., but actually the trauma from them hitting the ground.... Everyone needs to google "Corexit" .... (It will be a good read for surfers of the SE and gulf coast) As surfers, we should all connect the dots on this one, but hopefully i am wrong... And we should also be aware that this chemical has already been released all over the gulf coast within the last year... Numbers are cited on Wiki. Coicnidence? I think not.... I am not one for consipracy theories, but man, I have been watching this one closely, cause it defies logic. Lightening striking? Fire works???? BS. They said that when scientists reported to the scene after they were all dead, there were STILL birds falling from the sky, hours later... yet in the media, they cite lightening, hail or fireworks... No no no.... If that were the case, they would have all fallen at once. Not over and over throughout the course of hours. Birds travel in flocks. They obviously all had access to the same water supply in transit.... Somewhere off the gulf coast im sure. I would assume, a massive flock of migrating birds all stopped off the refuel at a water supply, most likely tainted with corexit, and in flight, minutes later, they die... Lets all wait and see.... But I cannot locigally accept the explanation of lightening striking, and birds falling from the sky in following hours.
Who cares.....If they didn't use that then people would be b!tching about the oil so it's a no win. What group is putting this out there to scare up your money this time?????
The end is neigh According to Rev. Harold Camping, the end will be here this May 21st, 2011. At least that's what my 82 year old mother-in-law tells me. Anybody for a big day-after party?
Zach, What the Arkansas case is not as the worse case scenario; thankfully its not the highly contagious Bird Flu (H5n1) that has worried Biologist due to out breaks in Europe and Asia. All Flyways (Pacific Central, Mississippi and Atlantic Flyways) do host migrations and lateral migrations of waterfowl and non waterfowl species alike beyond its borders and territories and any/all sudden deaths are dissected fairly quickly. They monitor and test birds here on the Eastern Shore (as all Flyways) so if an outbreak did occur the poultry industry could be in peril as bird flu is quickly transferable from wild to domestic species and vice versa. So as the bird flies its spreads ................
It's not Arkansas and California, it's LA (as in louisianna). Which changes alot. They are both in a concentrated area that would have exposure to chemicals in the Gulf.
You're right, Louisiana like California host millions of migrating species of birds in a concentrated area which would be cause for alarm of cross specie contamination. The Arkansas case was specie specific even if the or gins are environmentally linked. Just sayin, if environmental causes did equal bird flu type epidemic you would have multiple and continued die offs which are not evident in these cases. If these die offs were contagious to other species of birds you would see effort to contain the affected area. Mad Cow, CWD's and H5N1 deceases are under constant monitoring by Federal and State Agencies to avoid domistic, wildlife and human exposure yet some die offs are acts of nature and shouldn't be cause of panic yet some will exploit the event.
I actually had to look pretty deep to find this one. No one has publicly hosted this theory... But after reading multiple CNN articles, I read a blog post at the bottom asking everyone to google this, and I did, and I was shocked... Do I care about 5000 birds? No... But as a surfer, this pisses me off. This means guys paddling out along the gulf coast are going to be swimming in unidentified chemical substances, which I am SURE have not been tested for long term effects on the human body... I could care less about the birds really, sh** happens... But man, the fact that BP has created this strange chemical mix, and THEY are administering, that scares me... And I don't surf the gulf coast ever, im sure you dont either, but as surfers, that is a long stretch of beach in our country... Its bad enough that the animals and surfers are swimming with oil, now they are swimming in lethal, scientifically formulated uber-chemicals.... And, yeah people would ***** if they did nothing, but they keep all these chemical mixtures on the hush hush.... If there was some oversight here, I wouldnt be so alarmed, but the fact that you have to do all this reseatch just to pull up these facts is scary... The media should be all over this stuff. It makes me wonder why people arent saying things. is BP that big? I mean, are guys in labs getting whacked looking into this stuff. probably not... but man, this doesnt seem like a very smart solution. And i didnt even mention the 200,000 fish that died in that are the SAME MONTH.. Yes, this also happened in maryland, and yes maryland concluded that it was the cold bay waters that killed 2 MILLION fish.... But down in ARK and LOUSIANNA, the DIDNT say it had anything to do with weather... So all the fish die in a body of water connected to the gulf, and then thousands of birds also die that had access to water in the same area... I dont think this is an alien theory... This is just common sense to me,,, I hope there is no link here, it could be random. Completely random... but i feel as though it is not.
Personally, i don't believe anything that anyone of "power" ie government, news, police, etc. has to say. They lie to everyone to protect their own backs, and will never give a full truthful story. I've seen them try to snake their way around everything, and point fingers at the wrong people because "the public would accept it easier than if they knew the truth". i know i sound like someone with conspiracy problems, but i sware i don't lol...maybe i'm turning into Jesse Ventura
they were east coast surfer birds. They offed themselves because of our month long flat/ abnormally cold spell. I do think it was very considerate that they went and did the deed elsewhere. I mean, its the only possible explanation...
We're still scratching our heads cold water killed 2 million fish in the Chesapeake Bay Your concerns are valid and can be this simple, bird gets affected by cross cantamination, bird craps in your back yard then Fido walks on the bird crap comes in side licks his paws and when you come home licks your face
Check out this... http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=U...d=203552378013386591017.000499242a91932911f5d and then look at this.... http://www.examiner.com/pop-culture...shift-earth-s-magnetic-field-dead-bird-theory a lady called in to say that a flock of black birds hit her car as she was sitting at a stop light on Jan 5th. she was too creeped out to see if there were any casualties and left the scene. The CDC blew it off and referred her to us.....who knows how many smaller cases like this go un-spoken Conpiracy theorists have fun.....we'll see what transpires.....or not yeah pumpmaster...who cares....genius H5N1 research has been disbanded except for Delaware...and that ends march 31, 2011. So we have no idea if its within our flyways. But if birds die and they died from H5N1, we can test for it. This isnt the case. I think its the lack of surf
Kinda what gave it away in Europe were the workers in Bio suits picking up dead birds to be burned. Prime example of a picture that could speak a thousand words "Holy Crap"
H5N1 is monitored in all Flyways not just Delaware. Swabbing usually ends when Migratory stocks have left which is earlier than March 31. As you know "swabbing" is specie specfic so obtain sufficient sample match from nesting and migration routes.
In the first 3 years we tested everything we caught. Then narrowed it down to a few spp of concern for specific reasons. Now its over. No $$ fyi- 37 States recieved funding this year from USDA and that will end for good on 31 March, 2011. The Feds didnt do anything in terms of AI sampling this year. The only avian influenza testing being conducted after March 31 is on mortality events. Although U of Georgia will probably do some small scale stuff. The large scale reconnisance is fully disbanded after its 5 year project. So in the future we will not know if it occurs unless there is a mortality event and someone finds it and test for high pathogenic avian influenza.
I read an article last week about the mass bird and fish deaths, in the article they claim that mass die-offs happen naturally and often and cite the fact that everyone has camera's on their phones now to as why it's being made a big deal...just what i read, not my opinion, I'm sure the oil spill doesn't help, but autopsy seems to me as the best way to make a final decision.
