admin??? mods? i know this topic is beaten to death constantly but why are specific spots allowed to be named on a public forum.. i know most spots arent't secret but a lot of people are still unaware of certain breaks whether they work or not.. even if they don't work anymore they still shouldn't be named... try central/east/west li.. so my spots don't get loaded with a bunch of guys who don't know what they're doing.. thank you
considering both these spots are listed on wannasurf.com, the kookiest site on the net, I think the secret is out. But in fairness, the moderator censored my joke post about Clam Alley, a spot that doesn't even exist, so not sure why this one didn't get dealt with.
like I said spots may or may not be secrets but they still shouldn't be posted on a public forum and those that did are stupid to do so if these are your spots that you go to regularly. Spots regulate themselves and the best suffers get the best waves simple as that I just don't need to be doing the slalom on my waves to avoid people that don't have a clue our don't care to learn rules of surfing with a group
hahahahaha went to jerz in the morning and got gnarsty all over those rights with offshores then made it back to LB for a clean up barrel sessh with offshores what a long day well worth it
you don't think people that just surf the warmer months aren't on this website?? really? as ignorant as thinking a spot that isn't a "secret" can be put up on a public forum at will
Easy solution. If kooks show up at your local spot and act disrespectfully, kick their ass. If you can't kick anyone's ass, then b%itch and moan on an internet forum about dropping spots that are already publicly posted on a bazillion other websites. It just comes down to whether you are a man or a mouse (pun intended).
Kooks haha ive had my share of kook beat downs some asshole dropped in on me while i was already 2 turns into my wave drove his longboard right into the rail of my singlefin and into my hip made that kook get out of the water and i gave him a ding on his face to match the one on my rail don't mess with Long Beach!
yeah makes a lot of sense tough guy. let me guess you're probably 15ish??. so when i beat someones ass for dropping in on me get arrested over some punk what will change? nothing will be accomplished by being an over aggro local.. localism doesn't work around here period.. i say my peace when in the water if someone is screwing up and i've told people to move off the peak which works sometimes but you will always get entitled surfers who think they can do whatever they want. i sit on people and block with my friends, do whatever to make these peoples lives miserable out there until they leave.. it however NEVER helps when places are posted over the net. it doesn't matter if it on other sites it shouldn't be posted here if any of you guys(or gals)had half a brain. btw santos halper how asses have you beaten?
puh-leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze this is some funny ****. dude, wrong island is a joke. This isn't cali. if there were breaks like Lunada Bay or some world class break with consistent swell/lite winds, than i might b able to see your point. Hemis is NO secret! anyone who surfs gilgo knows where hemis is. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the trucks parked down there and think "hmmm, wonder why all them trucks parked down there?" most kooks don't have the will/motivation to buy a 4X4 and drive down there. and if they're down there in winter, then i don't care how kookeey they are, they deserve to be in there just as much as u. and no, people who surf in summer don't give a shhhit about these forums in the winter. do you think they even bother checking the surf forecasts in the winter? not like it matters anyway if they did read these forums. there's no secret spots on wrong island. Demos/hemis/turtles is about as secret as they get. and everybody already knows about these spots. only secret spot i can name is maybeey mexcox right now in dead of winter, if the bay is emptying out from massive snow runoff. it can be all time down there! so by all means check it out, i'll be more than happy to share waves with "kooks" if it's breakin! and i actually attempted spelling correctly for all the reetart readers out there on this one. hope y'all can understand ok...if not, i feel sorry for y'all... why should admin delete this post? because someone dropped a spot? big F&&kin deal. if there's any post admin should be deleting, it should be the Tramadol posts ROFL....
I've beaten 12 asses. I've whined like a nine year old girl on an internet forum about someone dropping my secret Long Island Paradise Spot 0 times. But whose counting? And how exactly are you going to get arrested for kicking someone's ass in the f%cking winter at Robert Moses State Park? They bury dead hookers there and don't get caught. B!tches whine. Men regulate. I guess you just need to look in the mirror and make a decision.
I don't care how many people you have beaten. This is not a thread for your ego. I just got back from surfing cali and I was stoked that we had some waves yesterday, even if they were a mess. I got out early, and guess what... I only saw one other guy out there I hope you get out of your head, and into the water. "Water gives life to the ten thousand things and does not strive" -Tao Te Ching
Lol, I'm pretty sure everyone on this thread surfed yesterday, considering it was the first swell over waist high since early December. I'll be out again today despite my developing sinus infection due to surfing five hours with partially treated human waste flowing from the Rockaway Beach 105th street sewage outflow pipe. You think you have to deal with kooks? Try surfing 90th street RB. (oops, dropped a spot) Guys will take off in front of you on their leashless 9 foot longboards, have no idea how to set a rail, ditch their board over the falls so there are 40 pound torpedos ripping through the lineup. The only way you don't get dropped in on here is if people know there is consequence. It's not about ego. It's about respect and more importantly safety. If you want your spot to be yours, make it yours. Regulate. Disrespect and actions that put others safety at risk should not be tolerated. If you see an injustice at your local spot, and you do not at least threaten to take action, you are part of the problem.
