    Congrats Zach

Well now in 4 months you will be a father and I imagine your wife works being your out in socal and both college graduates, so when you moving east? I know you mentioned before about coming back east.... Go VB if you can instead of Ocean City, and move as close to the North Carolina border as possible, you can get to Kitty Hawk in outerbanks in about an hour and 15 minutes from Chesapeake and its worht the drive. Plus if you live in VB you got guys on here that will be down to get a couple sessions in with ya and when its time for the weekly summer vacations, you just get the grandparents to pay for a house in Nags Head or something on the beach for the eintire family to stay its a great vacation and if the enitre family stays at the house you and the wife have built in babysitters for the week. I speak obviously from experience!

Trust me man, after 4 years of researching, my finding always point me to VB. The wife is a chef, and I am a restaurant GM. There is a lot of hospitality employment in Hampton Roads area. If not VB, you got norfolk, chesapeake etc... I have found many little condos by the beach in VB for around 125K. Something that is only a pipe dream in socal...

Both of our families live in MD, so its about a 3.5-4 hour drive to VB, but I am completely ready to spend my 2 days off per week driving up to Baltimore etc and spending that time with family, and then having my normal work week be by the ocean still. I would love to be like 5 minutes from our families, but since they are all hell bent on staying around the beltways, we are gonna have to compromise...

I think VB is a sick area. Especially to raise a kid. Especially being 1.5 hours from the banks... I surf daily out here with two guys from VB, and they are the only two guys I have surfed with in years that charge everyday with me. They have kicked a ton of knowledge to me about VB...

So, i really hope I am in the lineups with you guys next winter or the following... But life is funny. We have worked out here and developed careers. My job provides a month of PAID leave when my baby is born. My health care is completely covering it. My current restaurant is going to promote me again! My current restaurant is a panoramic ocean view above the la jolla cove. I surf every day still. The wife and I have opposite schedules, so technically we can raise the kid ourselves... So, I could NOT be happier with any aspect of what I have built for myself out here... So its crazy. We want to move back east soon. But we are in such a good position, it doesnt really consume us to think about it. It will work itself out.... But we for SURE are going to be back east sometime...

My sinister master plan is to relocate the kiddies to VB or something, then convince them all to go to college out in San Diego, then bam... relocate again to a retirement paradise =)

    Dreams. Dreams and more dreams.
