As much as I hate the typical summer high pressure systems, we can get some fun surf when a strong bermuda high sets in. Two summers ago, it was well positioned and we got some fun (nothing special) and consistent surf out of it.

Does anyone know the typical trend for the bermuda high?

yep, your right. The high pressure is much closer to the coast than the typical bermuda high, so we are not receiving the southerly flow on the west side of the high as per a normal bermuda high.

Generally, the Bermuda high can create small, 1-3ft medium period (7-10sec) SE swells.

The spring and fall are the diggity dank, late tropical swells, noreasters or large fronts in early spring, school is back in for groms, less tourons, less jellyfish, and the cooler water is actually refreshing, If you have a good flexible 3/2 , game on..

    from riptionary.com

    Grommet/Grom:
A young surfer; not generally used as a slam unless in conjunction with and expletive. Example: "That frickin' Grom snaked me."

    summer is awesome

yeah, we have no surf, but you can fish all day long and the weather is great. aaand, you can always fly out to CR. just dont go to nica, its really crowded now a days and there are no good breaks there.
