    Thanks for all the advice. I just went to a pawn shop and got a 7'6 board. I think it is in pretty good condition. For all the guys posts on here....

    Yes I am a girl. The only thing is I should start with a long board, but I don't know how well I would be able to carry it if it is over 7 ft tall.

    In jax you generally want to stay away from the north side and certain parts of the west side. If you choose west side you have to go way west...
