I think yesterday was the 3rd Saturday this year there have been small rideable waves in June or July. What are the odds of that? Another good day at Assateague; pretty crowded but plenty of elbow room. Seemed like the crowd thinned a little by later in the morning & it actually got a little better before the wind got in it. Anyway, this is odd because I'm usually cutting the grass on the weekends in the summer.

I surfed amazingly fun long board waves everyday last week in town(kitty hawk). I think I surfed 7 days in a row and all glassy peelers. Literally everyday was a fun wave with long rights and super clean water. Apparently numerous Tiger Shark sitings though. This guy beside me said a 9 footer cruised the sand bar and went right under him and i heard rumors they caught 2 tiger sharks from the beach in corolla but that is second hand rumors. Anyone else here shrk tales from the OBX??

Thats insane, cause I was decent sized shark Saturday night in Frisco (not sure what kind, and its not the first time I've seen one there).

Frisco is soo sharky. Was the water dirty or grey...or clean???
Everyday in town at high tide I would get out and go check this spot in south nags head and it was so much better swell but nobody was ever out there. I did surf it one day alone but just to spooky for me now. I used to surf alone all the time but for some reason I can't enjoy it anymore thinking about sharks. I hope this isnt going to be summer of the shark.

The water was pretty dirty Saturday night, especially compared to how clear is usually is in frisco. Yeah, sometimes I get that almost panicky feeling for no reason, pretty intense.
