We are just getting into the doldrums! Tropical season is great when we actually get waves but WAY too overhyped.

    Like your sig!

Usually by mid July the Atlantic has thrown us at least a bone in the form of an Invest, TD or TS. What gives?

In my opinion hurricane season doesn't start until September 1st.

If I remember correctly the first swell we got last summer was from TS Colin and wasnt until like August 15 or so. The tropics didnt really pick up until the end of august so I think we still have a little while of summer mush left...

to the dude with the ron paul quote on his sig.....
"Ron Paul says he would not have authorized the mission that led to the death of Osama bin Laden, and that President Barack Obama should have worked with the Pakistani government instead of authorizing a raid.

"I think things could have been done somewhat differently," Paul said this week. "I would suggest the way they got Khalid [Sheikh] Mohammed. We went and cooperated with Pakistan. They arrested him, actually, and turned him over to us, and he's been in prison. Why can't we work with the government?"

Until this.....I was really diggin' me some Ron Paul....until he came out & said we had no business blowing away Osama Bin Laden. And work with the Pakis....?! wtf are you living in a dream world ?

Oh, Ronnie ! Sac up boy & let us know when you have some balls. This ain't a global Constitutional gig that's out there, son. If we want to get anywhere as a nation, we just do what we have to do. GW would have approved.

Another Bill!! But no Earl, it was painful to watch perfect head high waves come in but we were shut down by guards and cops.

I would rather see just a one or two epic storms come up the coast than have ten or twelve super hyped swells that end up as VAS conditions or just smaller than predicted. Nothing worse than an overhyped and underachieving swell, although I'm gonna agree with the OP that seeing those track lines does get me excited.

    ...is it September yet?

ITs funny i felt that way about last summer down here, theres been an evening or two when the surf got fun but just not much. Last year we had a couple really fun chest to head high swells taht lasted more than a few hours at mid incoming tide.
