Never. Only giant horse flies that will carry you off into the dunes. While you're still bleeding.

nah dude Assateague waves can be fun if you have a solid swell. but if not, its just shorebreak and alot of bugs.

    Danger!

There are waves sometimes, but the rabid horses, and the dune cougars wait for you to get out of the water to disembowel you. Crazy wildlife, wouldnt go without an assult rifle.

Assateague isn't what it used to be. Used to break great years ago.

waves on the east coast? Maybe if you eat some acid and stare at the ocean long enough, you'll see something bigger than knee high

assateague can be good, but like someone said it really needs a solid swell to work. its a typical structureless beach break with outer sandbars. Small swells will work on lower tides, larger ones will break on the outer bars. High tide/small swell = shore pound

    Assateague, that's right, it's just like, a mini-mall.

Assateague isn't horrible, but it def isn't what it used to be. And I haven't had any bad experiences with bugs there, only rude horses standing in the middle of the road and backing up traffic.
