I think the biggest question is will the d-bag bureaucrats in the towns even let anyone near the water??
Some needs to send a memo to the storm that it is time to take a hard right after passing inbetween NC and Bermuda.
Have you seen the 11AM models? 4/6 look good for us, GFDI and HWRF, not so good. http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/at201109_model.html
Friday is gonna be light offshore with south windswell/SSE Groundswell. I'll take that. Plus we know it's not gonna be completely flat after the storm passes. The forecast may say that, but it's wrong.
its gonna go offshore, its gonna go offshore, its gonna go offshore..... please go offshore..... ok thanks
are we even gonna be able to get this. there talking about evacuating the island (in New Jersey)this weekend
I check the reports on my home breaks down in north FL often. It looks like they're already seeing frontrunners from Irene. http://images.surf-station.com/surfreport/index.html#2 Looks so fun. We definitely need to get our share of this swell.
Pretty good write-up of the forecast on thesurfersview.com, along with some good cams to check for the weekend..Figured I'd share since I've been lurkin here for a few days. Some serious optimism from the reports but let's hope it's true for sunday funday and thank god we aren't getting our first swell during Week 1 of the NFL like last year. But anyway for all you Jet fans, in the words of Bart Scott, if sunday is what the report says CANTTTT WAITTTTT
Hey guys... I'm a Florida transplant and this is my first cane season up here. I've surfed countless tropical swells in FL but I am uniformed about up here... I was hoping someone could give me a little info I plan to head out to a certain state park in northern DE on friday to try to get the low tide/light winds before **** gets real. Do they freak out and close it down or will I be able to get in??
All state parks around here will most likely be closed. All State Parks were closed during Earl last year. This is most likely going to be much more of a close call than Earl was.
damn hope all you nc guys stay safe down there. ****s gonna be real down there. Thank you from VB for taking another hurricane on the head for us haha
yo, man do your Mom a favor and put your life jacket on and get in your bathtub and let her jump in, that will give you an idea what it's like...stay out of the water if it's that big, there's only a couple things you will accomplish, hurting yourself, hurting others or killing yourself. Surfers don't wear life jackets!
Hey Micah, why is there such a significant drop in swell height on Sunday? Looking at the OCMD surf report, how is it possible that the swell could drop all the way don t 1 foot in an hour. I hope to God that it's not right!!!
