Sorry..... but you and your friends are WRONG. I lived in Oceanside ½ my life and that def is Swamis. South end of Cardiff almost in Solana Beach. Yes...Swamis is in Encinitas but the break goes all the way to Cardiff which where the rivermouth is. If you have been there then you would know by the rivermouth there is no cliffs. That picture was actually taken off the overpass going into Solana Beach right on the 101.

So who ever you got your info from was wrong. My buddy took the picture himself. From the pic you can't see the cliffs they are to the right of the picture. But that sure is Swamis.

I would have to say the biggest day is back on december 12 1979 when I was surfing jaws. It was somewhere from 25 to 30 foot, and I don't even know how big the face was. It was crazy.

I agree... BS! Trinidad & Tobago doesn't hold a swell that big. Usually big mushy waves but nothing like that. Which break was he surfing, I wonder?

Me, biggest was a late season swell at Playa Grande CR in Dec of 1999. I was 18 and ballzy at the time and the waves were there to scare me...... 10-12ft and jacking up heavy. Only caught 2 unfortunately. Also caught a nice 8-10ft day at Spanish House in Oct of 2001.

I think mine was hurricane Gloria up in NJ. As far as I remember it was double overhead but I could be wrong, just sticks out in my memory. I am no a fan of run for your life giant surf, much rather surf a perfect chest to head high wave any day than something where I am so afraid I'm gonna die I can't do much more than cruise.

ha, your name has flirt in it...thats very straight. i think that the biggest ive surfed is five times overhead at rodanthe pier, or maybe frisco pier, or maybe oceanside, or maybe playa marbella, but im a 2 foot tall man so 2.5 feet at 9 seconds looks pretty damn good to me and my 3 foot long twinny, i make suuuch a good line. sometimes i get chest high barrels sitting in the cape fear when boat wake jacks up and starts to suck up really good. its juuust like superbank man, sooo epic.
