Hi everyone:New forum user here. Always been a forecast checker, started reading forums recently. Lots of good info on here.I used search and couldn't find anything...being stuck inland for job/work/fiance, I usually drive to Jersey spots for sessions. Last week I took NJ Transit line home from AC, because the friend who drove was staying for the weekend. I left my board at my fiance's mother's house in Margate, but I was wondering...has anyone ever taken the train with a board bag? I'm not toting a log, just a 6' thruster. Thanks in advance for any help!

not sure about commuter trains, but it'll be fine otherwise. if you have a boardbag, that'd probably help

I know in the Philly region on SEPTA bikes are only allowed during "off peak" times. I would assume there are similar restrictions placed on over-sized items on JerseyTransit.

Yeah it's fine I've done it a few times. The worst I've gotten for it is just stares from people.a

Thanks, I figured as much. It seemed like there would be plenty of room to throw a board bag up on the overhead racks. I'll call ahead when I try and double check.

i've done it going from NJ into NYC to surf rockaway before class, never any problems rush hour or off peak. I just throw it up on the racks and its fine
