    Hahahahaha! "Umph POW!"
Nope, twas not I. Anyway, one fellow that is a forumer met and surfed with me today and we had a really good trip. But it sadly ended when I got my middle thruster sheared off my board when I rode it to deep in shore (beginner mistake). One of the FCS box got torn out and the glass broke here pretty well. The rear box was intact. I actually saw my broke off fin in the wash and as I was about to grab it, another bigger wave pounded over it and I lost sight of it. Now I have to deal with a shortboard in Chinky until they repair my funboard. I guess I will get a work out paddling the shorty.
I don't want to open a new topic so I will ask here. Is their any rhyme or reason to have a different size middle fin when I get it fixed? I was thinking I could get a longer middle fin to help give more bite to board, and maybe slow it down a little because it used to accelerate pretty fast with the even length thruster set up. Or should I solarez it up and keep just the side fins? I want to used this board for this coming week and if a fix takes a week, I am screwed in having it before vacation is over. Thanks for all advisement :)

theoretically you could leave out the back fin and that would slow it down, but i wouldn't recommend it for a beginner, or anyone really. you don't have to fill it with solarez though, so definitely get the whole box repaired and buy another fin. as far fins go i would ask the guys at the shop for something with more hold and less drive if that makes sense. i wouldn't suggest turning your shortboard into a single or twin fin though. right now you should probably be focusing more on learning to surf than fin templates and what not

yeah.. that's what I meant when I said "well done." He didn't just parody that guy... he went over the top in portraying a "kook." On top of that, he managed to be the one the newscasters picked to interview.

Thanks. I don't want a squirrely 8 foot funboard for sure. Looks like I may have to accept I won't have it for vacation. I will ask for a longer fin then. I made some photos. Does it look like a quick repair or involved?

Gruvi, def take it to a shop and have it repaired...you might have to buy a set of fins, unless they have a single fin laying around...i would advise you to get the same exact fins you had, def not longer...as far as gaining too much speed, forget about that...you need speed, trying to slow the board down is not going to help.
