Humboldt State is a good school. Don't know about the club. The waves are decent. Little crowds and little attitude in the line up, very sharky. Big trees, no traffic, and clean air. I grew up surfing Santa Cruz waves. This place is not nearly as stellar. However it does get good sometimes and the vibes are way better. Would recommend this area, just don't compare it with your local break, it is different.
