super fish, you must be pointing to that soft spot in my heart.... @ Gnar and RobG, there are places that get extremely epic in this area of NC--you just need to know where to go and when. I'm sure you both know Crystal is not it, it's a kook magnet just like C-street (something to do with the web cams you think?). There are a handful of other better spots on Wrightsville and even more if you can hop in a car and get to them. I'm talking from the Brunswick County Beaches up to Topsail--no more than 45 minutes away from mid-town if you're not in traffic. Forget about Mase too, it's rarely good enough to warrant being elbow to elbow with 200 of your closest friends.
im not sure if your bsing my spot or anything but i have scored crystal when barely anyone is out there. if you surf there come on up and say hi to me im usually always with the hawaiian guy named tiko. dont be afraid.
CofC I go to college of charleston and i have been surfing about 4-5 days a week. hard school to beat man
AH so the dudes name is Tiko. I surfed basically next to you a few days ago. Tiko looks just like the grandfather from johnny tsunami. i don't understand, WBsurfer, you talk about all these "secret spots" yet i see you out every day on a blue foam board next to oceanic while everyone else is on shortboards. and erock, i do ned to get out and surf other spots. I live on campus and my buddy has a house right down the street from crystals so its just easy for me to go there, for a parking spot ($2 AN HOUR!!!!!!) and a shower. Scored mase big time last week though
wbsurfer, of course you can score it good at crystal when it's not crowded but it is VERY rare. Plus I'm sure I've been surfing it much much longer than it has been *your* spot if that's how you're trying to be about it. So, enough of your little girl veiled threats. @Gnar: CB hasn't been working very well lately, but it can be better than WB with much more room to spread out. Plus they don't bend you over with parking so bad.
I lived in CB when I was down there, seemed to have more punch than WB. Last few times I visited the sandbars were all messed up though. I love it there, hopefully my fiancé and I will be moving there next summer, been looking at condos and jobs.
I know. i saw the pictures of katia....i was bummed. i was gonna go, i blew it big time. i need to start getting my act together. theres a lot more competition down here though, i'll saw that these waves compared to NJ and the competition make me progress much faster than me being one of the better surfers at my home break. thats cool.
Dude go to Salisbury. Only a half hour from Ocean City. Thats where I go and it is so rad. House parties are nuts, the girls are hot, and the classes are cake. Ocean City has the best break on the East Coast and Seacrets is the best bar around. They always have some jamming reggae band playing that always gets me and my bros amped.
I'll have to tell the school that I am withholding my alumni checks unto they kick your kook ass out.
Dude that is the second post where your hating on me. Whats your deal brah? You were probably in one of the lame frats and didn't get invited to one of Alpha Sigs ragers now your bitter. Mellow out homie. Just trying to share some stoke with real surfers like myself.
When one reads your choice of diction, reference to frats and ragers, there is only one conclusion to make: you are a complete tool. Does your dad own a dealership too? How many pastel pink button downs do you have? Do you rock your frat sticker on your board? Pumpmaster is understandably upset that his alma mater has apparently reduced itself to an equal opportunity institution for 'tards. At least now the OP knows exactly where not to go.
Chill man. Just wanted to spread the 'bury love. Also the pink pastels are out amigo. Flannels and beanies are in. Just got my rainbows too. Lookin fresh.
Hatteras is cool. You can have fires and brews on the beach which is rad but I tried to surf this one spot called Rodanthe and it sucked donkey. OC is best because of the whole environment ie Seacrets, the boardwalk its just a good time.
Youre a tool, i dont like you. Definately not going to Salisbury.... Dont need to "get amped with my boys" or be around kids "lookin fresh in my rainbows" Who gives a **** what youre wearing.... grow up
Your choice man but if you decide to head this way hit me up. I could really use another surfer like myself in Alpha Sig. Later.
because your talking bad about on his alma mater. No one wants to hear that their school is cake. Im here to get a good degree that means something, and also have the best time of my life and rage. i wouldn't talk down about my school though. Or, because your making yourself seem like a tool on here. Nice O.A.R. avatar brah. I have a feeling in my stomach that you barely surf. I can't be sure, but I would bet a lot of people would agree with me on here.
I agree GNAR! Hahaha. He really fulfills the frat college life with the OAR. And anyone can have a easy college career as an undecided major.... And to add to gnar's suspicions, here are some quotes from this all star: Sandytoes2: Haha man so many innuendos so little time. Well I've never surfed bigger than waist high. I'm not a really good swimmer so I avoid big days. I would much rather be sitting on the beach with my board picking up honies than drowning in big surf. No thanks I usually don't get in the water from early November till April. Those guys who go out in 30 degree temps are nuts man. Just not worth it. The winter is time for getting fat and staying inside playing some pong. haha There is only one kind of tube I wanna be slamming into before work and it sure as hell isn't 38 degrees. Conclusions: He only surf's when the water themp is above 70 and waist high or under, he drinks and smokes a lot. With that said, he probably exercises little and is a chubber.
