    I didn't find him but i surfed 6 to dark alone. It was small but i was in the ocean watching the sunset so i can't complain.

    Just your average chum living on the island...I've been living here summers and holidays the last 8 or so years, but moved here full-time about 4 years ago.

    I mostly ride a 5'6" Merrick neck beard, or a red Takayama egg on occasion.



    What do you ride/drive?
    I'm sure I've seen you out, just don't have a name with the face.

    Yes I was out Sunday and Monday and to me Sunday was what I would call epic from what I've been in so far. So how do you think I did? :)

    Mark, I kept an eye open for a white honda with a guy in red trim suit and never saw you. I was there til about 5:30. Are you going in same place I go? Near the toms cove gazebo? The parking lot is there with the left side currently dismantled. Is this where you go? Today I saw two young kids decked out in neoprene with 3 spongeboarders dropping in on them. Then there was an older dude with a longboard hanging with a younger guy with a yellowed out rusty board. Older cat had a gray beard. I saw no other surfers out there. Unless you are one of the kids that was driven there by their mom? I think one kid came out of a white truck but it was a tahoe I think.

    I haven't seen you surf. I had already left before you went into the water, but you seemed like an okay fella, lol.

    I will be watching the NLDS game there and if I get annoyed by the drunk noise, move it to Chatties. I'm going to beach before 11 today. Look for me at either place. I will be wearing a surfer themed tshirt and I just got a haircut yesterday that the lady took off my sideburns so I look like a poser shorthaired amish dude.

    Mark, I don't know what you are using to measure, but I see two plus rigtht now. And there are people fishing right in the zone. I gotta walk down the beach to get away from their hooks.

    I think I figured it out.
    Has everyone seen the movie Kingpin? With Woody Harrelson and Bill Murray?
    Gruvi is like the Amish guy the Harrelson teaches to bowl. Except Gruvi is out sowing his wild oats by learning how to surf! It all makes sense now! From PA. Socially awkward. But seemly a genuine, naive kind of dude. Doesn't work.

    Come on! That has to be it!
