They're like just so many maggots who feed upon themselves. Must be seasonal. Not altogether unlike fruit flies.

If you're interested in catching a ride and some waves, send me a private message. And congrats on your new disovery, it only gets better.....

I think there is a term for this type of thing...I believe it's a HODAD!! In addition to comment on some of the initial posts, I would rather suit up in a 5/4 during the winter months and score regularly than go through a month+ flat spell with a knee high day breaking it up like the summer months! Although, head high+ and warm water is just a gift from the surf gods and can't be denied.

Im sure this won't sink in to many people out there but ill post it anyway. The cold is all in your head. Over the years i just walk into the ocean and start paddling wether its january march december august june it doesnt matter it is what it is and i feel fine, it becomes second nature.

I would rather surf 38 degree water in solitude, than 75 degree water with a zoo.

hahaha. Hey man, I am not the one who dislikes the cold, that's the OP. I like winter surfing, though I definetly need to get a new wetsuit..
