Booties got the stink, ..........do not use bleach

Are you off your rocker... Bleach, not only is it bad for your suit and gear it is extremely bad for your body, and the environment. Skin is the largest organ of the human body, and it is like a sponge(absorbing all it comes in contact with). Most poisonings happen slowly over a long period of time, by gradual skin absorption or daily exposure to the toxins we breath in the air.

Suspected to affect the reproductive system.

There are so many hidden dangers that lurk within common household products that many consumers are not aware of. Manufacturers are not required to list the exact ingredients on a label. To get rid of the skanky smell in your booties all you need is Sol-u-mel, completely safe for you, your gear, and the environment.

 

Throw some baby powder in them,it takes the smell away, or at least covers it up

 

u must hav really smelly feet...lol just kidding....are they fairly old...if not ...im not sure why

 

Use wetsuit wash - like McNett's or something. Let your stank-ass stuff soak for a good 30 - 60 minutes in cold water with a capful of soap (make sure that work the soap around to make bubbles) and then rinse with fresh water. The stank should be gone.

Are you rinsing everything with freshwater every time you surf? I know it's a pain, but if you do it, you're not going to have stinky stuff.

 

GAH! Ripper, rinse your stuff every time you use it. LMAO, that's so gross. Use the wetsuit wash - and maybe you should wash every last piece of neoprene you own while you're at it.

 

Take two sixteen or twenty ounce water bottles....after you drank the water, cut the top and bottom off and stick them in each of the ankle part of the bootie to keep the airflow...

 

Go to a dive shop and get a product called SINK THE STINK it works great! I know they sell it in Annapolis at Annapolis Scuba Center or check out their website www.sinkthestink.com

 

Wetsuit wash might be "overpriced" but I prefer using it over any kind of super-diluted bleach. I'm too concerned about degradation of neoprene and seams of an expensive investment.

Add me to the list of the non-bootie sniffers. I don't even want to know, especially the 7mm ones. I just wash them as well as I can. Yuck.
