Hey guys, just moved to Jupiter, from the west coast, where are the most consistent breaks over here? Any in Hobe Sound, Jupiter, or Juno? Just curious, don't know to much about the waves over here, haven't been in Florida that long, let alone the East Coast. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.
The waves in Florida are consistently bad. But we do have our fair share of good days. You just have to stay on it to reap the rewards. Get out from behind your keyboard and go out and explore. There, good waves you will find...
I think your close to reef road. Ive heard its good there(for florida). As far as consistent? Here's a video from irene http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CS0R_G1uvjQ. I would check it out since your kind of close.
Dude, I'm out almost everyday exploring, I just check this site every morning, thought some people would have some suggestions. Get out from behind the keyboard? Is this how all you east coasters are? Thanks for the welcoming.
I surf mostly North Florida (sometimes venturing to CFL), but know a lot of the guys down south have to travel to Sebastian Inlet when we get E/ESE swells, because of the Bahama Blockage. No idea of key breaks, but there's a few still cams up in Juno, Jupiter, ect that people use to watch the north swells that light SFL up in the winter. The only advice I can give, is stuff you probably know. They get crazy, hard to predict refraction swells... it lights up on a N/NNE/NE swell (as well as crowded when it gets good.) There's a few sites dedicated to the S. Florida surf scene, you know about em?
yes this is how ALL of us east coasters are. Sorry bra. But seriously waves down there suck. Just drive to Sebastian thats your best bet.
Kyle, your best bet is to do your homework on the forecasting part, waves are kinda inconsistant in fl., reef road in w.p.b is a good bet for you...its pretty good when there is a swell and the locals are pretty mellow...have fun
