That was a bomb, but 90 ft? Who confirms these sort of things anyway, please don't tell me fox news. But it's definately one of the tallest peaks i've seen ridden, and the biggest ridable wave i've seen in the Atlantic ocean. What created that monster?

I was thinking more weather wise, vid said late October I think, hurricane? Figured it was a canyon, look at the cliff that overlooks that wave, spectacular view, would love to sit there and watch someone (with bigger balls than mine) charge!

The first video I saw of this was on sportscenter sunday night, except it was edited weird. They showed the helicopter shot until he made it about half way down the face (before the wave even peaked) and then it cut to the gopro angle of him in the whitewater. I'd still like to see the rest of the footage from the gopro.

The last hurricane in the atlantic was phillipe, and that was early October. From the look of the swell map on surfline, it looks like some kind of arctic ocean storm working it's way down into the atlantic. The date also shows 11/1

Ya, it reminded me of a Mavericks drop too... Definitely bigger then anything I've ever seen at Mavs tho...
It would have been good night, if that lip landed on him...

If he went over the falls or took that lip on the head, the headlines might be more like R.I.P. Garrett Macnamara, epic charger. Those are the kinda waves that if you don't make them, you probably gonna die. In the words of the great Bodhi, "If you want the ultimate ride, you gotta be willing to pay the ultimate price."

I think Bodhi stole that from Foo, who (RIP) lived up to his philosophy.
