Yummy lefts in Texas

    was looking at one of the galleries and this beautiful picture came upon me.....i knew texas got some waves ....but seeing this as a goofy foot rider....really made me think...does anyone really know if texas is like this a lot because i have family there and would love to see them and get some fun rides too!!!!

    Tropical systems can produce that when the season is active. I lived in Texas for 5 years and would catch it down at South Padre Island...

    Texas prob gets more waves then people realize. However, its much more consistent in the winter time with the frontal systems moving through. They also get some tropical action.

    South TX (South Padre and Corpus Christi area) is the most consistent and can get solid from both N and SE swells and generally seems bigger than North TX. The Galveston area gets SE wind swells, but it seems to me that it serves mostly longboard waves.

    theyre getting better waves thean us hah dang and the waters not freezing from upwelling
