who cares is obama is a socialist or not? the guy sucks regardless. does it really matter? i can't believe some of you are defending this guy! it's your right though, and i respect it. i will NEVER agree with you. this guy is a joke. screw the labels. i love the ndaa obama allowed to go through. even most liberals are against this! the aclu too! if this guy is so worried about alienating his base then why the hell would he do this BS? obama has done no good for this country. like i said took bush's big mess, and metastasized it to epic proportions. he said when he was running if he didn't fix this he doesn't deserve a second term. he pushed that stimulus through and said unemployment wouldn't go above 8%. it went to almost 11%. if you think he's a lesser of two evils, and hate the gop so be it. i can't stand the gop either myself. i just don't see how anybody can defend him, and say he did a bit of good for anything. hope you all have health care come 2014 if he's still in. if not you better buy a government plan or be FINED.

oh great someone seriously BELIEVES most of those things are good. while some of your list may be true i don't find many positives. i respect your opinion, and all, but i wish you weren't suckered koki i really do. i can see you like entitlements, and government control in everything. i can't even comment on half of that. i tried to read that list i really did. i just can't pick apart 108 things i can't.
Eatswell, you may respect Koki's right to an opinion, but you obviously don't respect the opinion itself because you said he's been "suckered." That doesn't really sound like respect to me. Also, regarding the complete and utter MESS that Obama inherited from GWB: It's not like our country is a compact car that can flip a u-turn at the president's bidding. Things are put into motion by one president and it takes lots time, cooperation from both sides of the aisle, and loads of hard work to bring them to a halt and/or turn them into something better. Eight years of Bush equals a TON of damage control on almost every conceivable level -- international relations, economic policy, etc, you name it, the list goes on.
obama is bush's 3rd term. get real seriously. the guy metastasized bush's mess. don't gimme that. it's not like he's cleaning up bush's mess at this point. he's gotta clean up bush's mess plus his own. what is the obsession with this obama? i said he was suckered big deal. i didn't say he was a complete frickin imbecile. one thing i have to say is i'm impressed the obama supporters this time around aren't staying in the woodwork. when we had this thread in the summer only 4 people said they liked him despite about 30+ people at least picking him in the poll. none of these 3 people came out to defend him as heavily as some people though.
koki spending all day on CHRISTMAS (sorry does that word offend you)....talking politics. Didn't anyone ever tell you...NO politics on CHRISTMAS!!
No, the word Christmas doesn't offend me at all , I am Catholic. oh and Bronze Whaler, glad you got a chuckle. The joke's on you, though...he's our president. Everyone is not going to agree all the time, live and let live.
I am disappointed with my previous vote for Obama in 08. Currently, I'm leaning towards Paul. I think the erosion of our civil liberties needs to stop. Our government is far too big and his position of true governmental reduction is appealing.
Yes, every president is basically trying to make the executive branch a dictatorship using legislation. The worst piece of legislation is the Patriot Act which we can thank Bush for. It actual makes people think they are more safe when in fact it takes away most liberties and also gives the Executive branch some crazy powers (think dictator powers). Scary stuff.
john mccain is an old neo con, and sarah palin is a dingbat. couldn't stand either, and that's why i voted for obama. however obama is more like bush, and mccain than people realize so people need to get over that, and come to terms with it. not to mention obama just approved the patriot act part 2.
