Sean Collins, founder of Surfline, has been reported dead this evening. Sean was the pioneer of modern surf forecasting for surfers. He is undoubtedly a legend in the surf world. Condolences to his family.

The guy was passionate about the science behind the surf as much as the surf itself, and made a livelihood out of it. A little tribute for him from today's SSE swell. RIP Mr. Collins.
