Better start learning Spanish or Portuguese! If you're lucky you'll end up in Morocco...great points over there

A little common sense will go a long way here............If you are scared....... stay on the beach.

Just another fun variable that the east coast loves to throw at us...Cold Blind Steep Drop-Ins!

Dont worry about the wind- the real question is - 'is there going to be any waves left?'

it is super windy today, i unfortunatly am at work but watching the belmar cam on surfline and there is a ton of spray.

Aside from the question which started this thread, what about strong winds blowing you back up the face of the wave? Especially if your on a step up or a long board and wind is blowing 20-25mph offshore how do you compensate for the fact your board is going to catch the wind as you try to take off?

i live right on the beach in jersey by seaside and the winds are wicked. my car was getting pushed by the winds when i went over the bridge to get my brother to school this morning. saw some dude heading up to the beach but waves seemed kinda small and wind was even more intense with nothing blocking it by the water. today is a judgement call based off you own skill and power on wether to paddle out or not. just be safe and have fun

30 MPH off shore.....don't even waist your time driving to the beach cause it'll be a lake....so you shouldn't have any problems paddling back to shore!!!

Wind has been howling all day here in Monmouth County. I went around lunch time with the wind and it definitely wasn't a lake. Solid chest to shoulder but not super long lines.

Had a fun 3 hour session in MoCo this morning, super hard offshores but there were some solid head high peaks coming through. It was a little soft around high tide but definitely rippable, pretty easy mellow takeoffs too which was was surprising with the blinding spray. Fun day for sure though, especially after all the flatness recently.

winds were also crazy hard off shore here today in vb. Although most of you had waves, it was pretty much flat with occ ankle high wave. It was really nice yesterday with light off shores shoulder high with clean rolling waves. Got a new board too and the forecast looks bleak at best....:(

Curse of the new board. You need to go paddle out a few times, waves or not. Do us all a favor haha thanks!
