the last bertha i remember surfing was in the mid-90's. i was living in santa cruz, but i was here visiting my folks. i surfed the inlet at first light, caught a flight back to CA, and then surfed a southern hemi in SC (yes, norcal does pick up south swell). one of the best single days of surfing in my life...
