great alliteration there... see, no english primer necessary

not attacking you dude, just using an example. i used to only post in southeast but swellinfo changed some settings around so now i see newest posts from all the forums. its been this way for a month or 2. it was cool seeing obx stuff now and then but i grow weary of sorting through the garbage (threads made specifically to attack another swellinfo member, or complaining about the accuracy of swellinfo forecasts for example).

    zing!

On the subject though. Splitting up the forum would be great. I think things would flow much better.

Your welcome glad to help! But alas our perfect "northern" states have a bad apple, Vermont wants to secede as well, damn hippies!!! But Hawaii isn't about secession, but of the unlawful occupation of their sovereirn lands by the US since 1898 (I think), the vote for statehood having no validity in international law, and the US circumvention of the UN Charter (1945) in establishing Hawaii as its territory and later state. Congress actually issued an apology Pub. Law 103-150 on the 100th anniversery of the overthrow of the hawaiian monarch.

Don't let a few idiots taint your opinion of Jersey!!!!!!!!!! And yeah we're a little testy, but if you had to deal with people from Philly, NYC, and Wash/Balt every summer actin like they own the lineups cause daddy has a house on the beach you'd have a chip on your shoulder too! And why MTV, why did you throw a bunch of Guidos in a house and call it Jersey Shore ruined the state forever!

This is totally irrelevant (or perhaps not) but since I see you're from Avon, NC I would like to say that while in Avon, NC many years ago (Hurricane Bob evacuation, I believe) I personally witnessed something crazier than anything I've ever seen in my years in New Jersey.

I saw a man attack another man with a ten speed bicycle.

I was sitting on the top floor porch of my rental in the Avon Cottages cooking a nightcap hotdog on my Weber Grill at about 2 a.m., when two locals got in an argument over the one dude's decision to move away from the Outer Banks. The guy with the bike did not like that his friend was going to move way, so he picked his ten speed bike up and threw it at the guy, decking him. Once he had him down, he picked the bike up again and tossed it down at him a few more times for good measure.

It was quite interesting. And stark proof that there are knuckleheads everywhere. New Jersey has more people per square mile than anywhere else, and thus, more knuckleheads per square mile. Those two dudes had nothing on Snooki and the gang in the idiocy category. And by the way, since Snooki was mentioned in a previous post as being from NJ, it should be noted she's from Poughkeepsie, NY.

Best thread I have seen in a while. As a lifelong citizen of the Dirty Jerz, I love the back and forth. Probably made up but a great line I heard a long time ago. A bunch of NJ guys on spring break heading south, asked by a guy on one of their stops, "So what you Yankee boys think of the south?" Response, "It's a sh!tty place we have to drive through to get to Florida."

This is a ridiculous and uninformed comment. You should change your name to motivated2saystupidstuff.

I live in DE, but I travel north and south to surf, otherwise I would be screwed, considering our bars in DE have not worked well in a long time. I've scored in Jersey, Hatteras and West Palm, just to name a few. Why would I want to disrespect people from places I like to go. Speaking of which, I am amped, leaving for Hatteras on Wed., hoping to shed the hood and gloves. Can someone from down there reassure me that I won't need hood and gloves, I checked the water temps and it said 58, but I'm a little skeptical..that seems high.

This is not an uninformed comment. Check the facts. Just use google to find the very relaxed laws in states south of NJ when it comes to driving. NC doesn't even require proof of US citizenship when getting a license. This may have expired recently but there are still thousands upon thousands of illegals that already obtained the license. They also have people who then register the cars in these states with loopholes in the system because of the relaxed laws. Please just look up the facts yourself if you don't believe me.

I have been surfing/ living in Jersey my whole life, and I have to honestly say I have never seen a guido in the lineup. Guido's are far from your surfing type. It's like comparing apples to oranges. Just dumb. Good thread though! Some good laughs. Love the pride in our states!

It could be that or more if you are around Frisco and up into Buxton. But upwellings happen very quickly out there. Be prepared for a variety--after all it is the spice of life. Rodanthe and North will be considerably colder.

On topic. The funniest part of this thread are the folks taking it personally and getting bent out of shape.
But, on the other hand, throwing it back to an older thread, you haven't lived until you've spent a night out gigging some flounder.

Yo Bro you wont need a hood down in OBX right now unless your a wimp. I know you Northern Yankees are use to 40 water so it should feel warm even with the upwelling.

No hood guy, I went out at nags head saturday without one and you get a little chill duck diving but a minute later you'd be perfectly fine again

Lucky you. I have spotted them numerous times with their 9ft foamers. You can tell their here in the summer because the water has a slick on it.
