two jokers out at mid-town, with a jetski and Bodyboard, at low tide?

i was on the beach watching and it looked like the guy being pulled, got his arm yanked out a couple of times.

you might be bored,.... but it looked like you would want to pratice so much before ever trying to do any tow-ins, or tow-outs/ats, or whatever with a jetski

Anyone have any thoughts about it?

Other the backwoods crew, no one else really doing anything around here.

Or why they picked OC over Assateague Island. . . looked rather anti-climactic to me.

Geez, I didn't see that go down, I guess I'm kind of glad I didn't.. There's a lot of room for error and for someone to seriously injure themselves or others. I've seen a couple other guys with skis that don't really know what their doing either.. In Hawaii they make you take a class before you are able to tow someone. I hope these guys don't catch the eye of the authorities and ruin it for the few people out there that operate in a safe manner. Definitely don't take a jet ski to Assateague because you will return to the docks with a hefty fine.

if it's not 25ft+, paddle. end of story. anyone who uses a ski for any reason (other than lifesaving) in the surf zone is a kook. i don't care who you are. jet skis suck & blow. i would've called the cops.

someone really doesn't like jet skis ... that would be really lame if you called the fuzz on them ... let them have their fun, it's not like you were out there anyways ...

nope...i think they have great potential in the hands of competent lifeguards & watermen, but they've become the crotch-rockets of the seas. every testosterone-addled shoobie & kook buys or rents them & thinks they can do anything they want, completely ignoring the rules that govern watercraft, like staying a certain distance away from swimmers & surfers (among other things). they require no great skill to operate & can kill the user or a bystander in the blink of an eye. at least crotch-rockets require one obtain a motorcycle license to operate. i'd ban them outright if i could.

I cant say I see many in the ocean ... some dudes in Ocean City were doing that a few months ago ... didnt look very fun .. I worked at a beach/swim club in LBI for a few years and all the kooks would rip it close to the dock and all the kids out sailing ..
