Guido's or Benny's?

Yeah guidos do exist - they made up like 95% of my high school and town I grew up in - pathetic thing is that most of them weren't even Italian - duuuuuh.

I think guidos and visitors are amusing - we get citidiots to Long Beach - the folks who drag their surfboards in on the A train every weekend. Some of them are really cool, some of them are downright lethal..complete with burying their kids diapers in the sand, etc. You won't find them in the Mid-Atlantic area, because NJ/MD/DE is considered another planet to them.

bennys are mostly dumb noobs who sunbathe all day or stand at the edge of water. if desperate they sometimes go in the water and i scare them with my board.

I think for the most part Bennies are harmless.Flipflops with socks,Big hats,and no tans.Sort of like Revenge of the nerds type.Now guidos are little bit more different,alot of chains,maybe a mustang,(back in the day an iroc)heavy N.Y.accent,and a little attitude.Yo wasup.

Actually

WOP referred to ANY immagrant in the early days . It stands for "WithOut Papers" So basically anyone that came over and was not granted citizenship right away. It was a term that was used in general for a while, but with the the giant influx of italians it kind of got pinned to them as a whole.

True... but the guy you are calling out is also, some Italians take this term very personal. I know, I'm quite close to 100%. In particualar, I don't take offense, that greaseball stuff is played.

Guido is an image thing. Completely idiotic. Shows how shallow some chicks are. It's funny how many "wops" OCMD is pulling in right now... I've had chicks offer me money to marry them so they can get a greencard, and have known many that come and stay illegally. Whats going on around here is nuts, but hey, after getting to know some of these people I can understand that it's out of desperation and not greed.

This land should be a common ground for people who seek freedom. Our only responsibility is to embody the culture of the American Indian, which is seldom done. Riding waves makes me feel that I'm connecting in the way of the old, even if it be in different mediums...

 

Hmm.. Lets break this down scientifically.

Bennys: Clog up the roads with their giant SUVs and their inability to merge properly. But the SUV is usually filled with kids or crap, so at least they are semi-utilizing their vehicle. They take up more than one parking spot by the beach. But they bring their kids to the beach and use it to its full extent, build sand castles, go swimming with Ace Hardware boogie boards. And the college kids throw so kick ass parties. They occasionally block the surf a bit, but for the most part they are aware of our (surfers/bodyboarders) existence when they swim at blackballed beaches. So I don't really mind them, they are down for a good time, who can fault them for that?

Guidos: Clog up the roads with their giant SUVs, they can't merge and they speed every where, trying their hardest to cut everyone off. Their is usually one or two people in each 7 person SUV, but they fill it with sub woofers and play the most god awful music known to man. They show up to the beach with expensive stuff and chains, if they do have bodyboards its usually the really crappy over priced slick bottoms offered by Murray or something, because they just bought whatever and didn't research. They block waves, intentionally most of the time, play foot ball and **** in the water. Thats for the small majority that do go in the water, most of them just lay on the beach wasting space.

But there is one huge positive. When I'm sitting at Belmar 16th ave Pizza, and watching them all walk past down to DJais, its pretty freakin funny. Like a parade of meathead clowns.
