Never been to long beach, I am usually at Gilgo or Demos. I have been to Montauk but never surfed it.. i visited Ditch plains, surf was probably knee high and it was a zoo lol... wanna paddle out there this summer though

Demo's is better then it was after Irene, it is packed though.. even at 6am there are 10+ dudes at the point and its not even warm enough for trunks... I can imagine once the water gets warmer it will be a mob scene. I'm surprised so many people make the walk too..its like 1.2 miles each way or something.

Hey thanks for the heads up Eastend! see you out there:cool:

I usually surf Long Beach because there's a more consistent bar there, but it's always ridiculously crowded if it's good.

My favorite when it's good is probably Hemlocks.

long beach has been really bad this year, the sand bars are all off. your best bet is probably lincoln.

Yeah, agreed. I surf Lincoln. I went out the other day and the bars were alright. They were breaking well at low tide. But an hour to an hour and a half or so off of dead low, and 3 foot waves started to stop breaking on the bar.
